BRIGHTON, England (AP) — Chelsea winger Cole Palmer and forward João Pedro missed the team’s Premier League game against Brighton on Tuesday because of lingering injuries, manager Liam Rosenior said.
Palmer, who played the full game Saturday when Chelsea lost 1-0 to Manchester United, has scored 10 goals in total this season.
“Cole has had a bit of tightness in his hamstring that he’s been carrying,” Rosenior told Sky Sports before kickoff. “He’s going to be out for this game, and we’ll see how he moves on for the FA Cup semifinal.

After an offseason of negative media attention, Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is turning his attention back to football. Attending the first day of the Rams’ offseason program, Nacua was embraced by teammates as he enters a contract year and a potential date with destiny, as he is one of the favorites to win 2026 Offensive Player of the Year.
Several players spoke to the media on Monday about Nacua, including Steve Avila, Quentin Lake, and Kobie Turner. Avila and Turner are fellow members of the 2023 draft class with Nacua, while Lake is a team captain, along with Turner.

New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel addressed reporters for the first time since the New York Post published photos of Vrabel and NFL reporter Dianna Russini together at a resort in Arizona.
Vrabel, who coached the Tennessee Titans from 2018-23, called the situation a “personal and private matter” at an April 21 press conference in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
“It was important to me to have a conversation with the players, which I did yesterday very candidly, as we began our offseason program, which everyone is excited to be a part of,” Vrabel said.

FIFA said it is going to release more tickets for sale after angering some fans by adding new, more expensive categories, the Associated Press reported.
Soccer’s governing body announced on Tuesday that it will make more tickets available at 11 a.m. EDT on Wednesday for all 104 games in Categories 1, 2, and 3, plus the new “front category” pricing it added this month.
The new category sparked online complaints from fans who said they thought the better seats in the categories they had bought tickets for were withheld, and they were assigned less favorable locations.

New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel addressed the media for the first time on Tuesday since photos circulated of Vrabel holding hands and spending time at an adults-only resort with Dianna Russini, former NFL reporter for The Athletic.
The Patriots organization initially told the media that Vrabel would not speak publicly until after the NFL Draft, but plans appear to have changed when players began receiving questions about the photos as they arrived for the first workouts of the year.

Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan has resigned after six seasons, a move that clears the path for a new front office to reshape the struggling franchise.
The decision, announced on Tuesday, sees Donovan step aside rather than work with incoming leadership.
President and CEO Michael Reinsdorf had previously indicated his wish for Donovan to stay, even after dismissing executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley near the end of the season.
