Celebrity cameos don’t get better than actress Anne Hathaway appearing at a New York Knicks game and almost getting tackled by a player.
The 42-year-old actress — a bombshell, to be frank — was almost wiped out by Knicks guard OG Anunoby Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.
MSG hosted the Knicks and Chicago Bulls, a marquee matchup between storied franchises. Sitting on the sideline, Hathaway came face to face with 6-foot-7 Anunoby after the Knicks player hustled to intercept a pass.

The Cavs are forcing their way into NBA history with their undefeated start to the season.
LeBron James is long gone, but the Cleveland Cavaliers are once again looking like an NBA championship contender. The Cavs moved to 10-0 on the young season after blasting the Golden State Warriors on Friday night in a showdown of former rivals who have reinvented themselves to become elite once again. Cleveland is now the 14th team in league history to start a season with ten straight wins, and nothing about it feels like a fluke.
Cleveland’s on a roll but has work to do if it wants to set the all-time record. The 2015-16 Warriors led by Steph Curry started 24-0 en route to a 73-9 mark.

Seeing as the New York Jets 2024 season has become another write-off, attention now turns to whether veteran signal-caller Aaron Rodgers will be on an NFL roster next season.
You’d think battling back from injury to 3-7 would have beaten the will to keep playing football in the NFL deeper into his early forties out of Rodgers, but it would appear you’d be wrong.
According to The New York Post, Rodgers was asked point-blank if he wants to continue playing into the 2025 season, and it turns out that he does.
“I think so, yeah,” Rodgers said.

Imagine showing up for some rec league hockey only to find yourself sharing a locker room with a bunch of NHL players.
Then, imagine mustering up the courage to ask if you can join them on the ice and stop a few shots during practice.
Well, one netminder in New York City doesn’t have to imagine it because that’s exactly what happened to him.
The San Jose Sharks are in the midst of an east coast road trip, and after a loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday, they set up shop in New York City ahead of a Thursday night meeting with the New York Rangers.

Residents in the City of Calera, Alabama are wondering if some Tennessee fan pulled a massive prank on the town’s water tower, which had folks confused as to why it was painted with the signature checkerboard end zone scheme that the Vols use.
No, this is not a joke, and city officials have to assure its residents that a Tennessee fan did not sneak into the town recently and paint the water tower as some funny gesture following the Vols win last month over the Crimson Tide.

Missing a contest while healthy and calling it a “business decision” is the last thing an NFL head coach wants to hear from a player.
Usually, a business decision means someone is healthy enough to play but is taking precautions by not engaging at all.
Over in Cleveland, Browns starting left tackle Jedrick Wills made a “business decision” and opted not to play on Oct. 27 against the Baltimore Ravens.
Though healthy, Wills admitted to not playing against Baltimore and was benched for the following contest against the Los Angeles Chargers on Nov. 3.

News broke on Tuesday that the homes of Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were burglarized early last month within hours of each other, with the break-in at Kelce’s Kansas mansion believed to have happened just minutes into the Chiefs’ Oct. 7 Monday Night Football game against the New Orleans Saints.
TMZ Sports reported that Mahomes’ Belton Missouri home was broken into around midnight on Oct. 6, and there hasn’t been any word on what, if anything, was taken in the incident.

The break-ins occurred around the Chiefs’ Week 5 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
The Chiefs beat the New Orleans Saints in Week 5, but quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce both lost when each of their Kansas City-area homes were burglarized that weekend.
Mahomes’ house in Belton, Mo., was broken into on Sunday, Oct. 5, and a man called law enforcement shortly after midnight to report the incident. It’s unclear from the police report what, if anything, was stolen from the Mahomes’ home, per ABC news.

It’s always exciting to see a celebrity out and about, but as cool as it is, it can be perilous.
Exhibit A: the poor dude who thought he was giving a hearty “Roll Tide” to 2009 Heisman Trophy winner and Big Noon Kickoff panelist Mark Ingram… only for it to actually be former Arkansas Razorback Darren McFadden.
McFadden — who spent his NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys and Oakland Raiders — tweeted a story about running into a fan of Ingram’s while out and about.

Juan Soto could not have timed the best season of his big league career more perfectly. Soto was outstanding with the New York Yankees, hitting a career high 41 home runs, scoring 128 runs and providing over 61 extra runs of offense compared to a league average player.
He was just as good in the postseason, hitting four home runs and sharpening his already elite plate discipline. And he did all that just before he hit free agency.
