Kyler Murray and the Cardinals passing game are fun to watch
The Arizona Cardinals are 6-4, with a one-game lead over the San Francisco 49ers in the win column. This is a vast improvement for a team that finished with a 4-13 record last year, and a matching 4-13 record two seasons ago.
There are several reasons for the turnaround in the desert, including a defense under head coach Jonathan Gannon and defensive coordinator Nick Rallis that is finding creative ways to slow down opposing offenses.

The Oregon Ducks, who cruised past Maryland 39-18 last week to improve to 10-0 this season, remained No. 1 in the second rankings released by the College Football Playoff selection committee Tuesday night, followed by Ohio State, Texas and Penn State.

We’re officially heading into Week 11 of the fantasy football season, which means just about every matchup is a must-win for most fantasy teams from here on out. There are several teams on bye this week, as well, including the Carolina Panthers, New York Giants, Arizona Cardinals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, further limiting managers’ options for both their locked-in starters and weekly flex options.

When taking a look at the potential bye-week absences for your prospective fantasy rosters during the draft, you may have thought Week 11 would be a breeze to navigate.

It took Caitlin Clark just one season to become the face of the WNBA. Outside of her Indiana Fever team winning a WNBA title, her rookie campaign went exactly to plan as she was named the league’s Rookie of the Year and met every reasonable expectation imaginable.
Clark’s stock is soaring, to put it mildly, but NBA legend Clyde Frazier felt the need to knock it down a peg when he saw her sitting courtside at a recent New York Knicks game.

San Jose State women’s volleyball coach Todd Kress has been one of the key figures overseeing the inclusion of Blaire Fleming (a male-born player allowed to play with females) on the Spartans.
But Fleming’s introduction to the SJSU women’s volleyball team did not start with Kress, although the SJSU coach allowed the dilemma to continue.
Instead, current Loyola Marymount University coach Trent Kersten and his staff brought Fleming to San Jose after (Brayden) Fleming needed a team to play for.
Kersten was the head coach at SJSU before Todd Kress joined in 2023.

There have been few worse contracts in Major League Baseball history than the one the Los Angeles Angels gave out to Anthony Rendon. 
Rendon signed with the Angels before the 2020 season, as a highly coveted free agent. He was coming off an outstanding 2019, where he hit .319/.412/.598 for the Washington Nationals. His excellent defense at third base, on base skills, and career high 34 home runs contributed to nearly seven wins above replacement. And a world championship for the Nats.

The second edition of the 2024 College Football Playoff Rankings has been released and, to the surprise of nobody, Oregon remains at the top of the list after an emphatic 39-19 win over Maryland. 
Ohio State stays put at No. 2 after a 45-0 win over Northwestern, with the Buckeyes only loss coming on October 12 against the top-ranked Ducks.
Behind them, there is total chaos.
Georgia and Miami dropped out of the ranks of the top five after losses last week to Ole Miss and Georgia Tech, respectively.
Reminder: The top five conference champions get the top five seeds.
