Carolina Panthers cornerback Mike Jackson is looking to go where only one man, at least officially, has gone before.
A little over a week ago, at the end of mandatory minicamp, the soon-to-be eighth-year defender had taken some time out to chat with team beat reporter Sheena Quick. Quick asked Jackson of his goals for 2026, and he certainly didn’t hold back . . .
Most players dance around quantifying their personal goals….Mike Jackson is not most players.

Detroit – Imagine being Trei Cruz Friday night.
He finally makes his big-league debut at age 27, after a methodical and at times fraught climb through the minor leagues. Comerica Park is packed. Tarik Skubal is pitching. Nelly is staging a post-game concert. The division-leading White Sox are in town.
In the stands are 20-some members of his family, who hastily flew in to be part of this moment, including his grandfather Jose Cruz and father Jose Cruz, Jr. – both long-time big-leaguers.
“Special moment,” he said.

On Thursday, Michigan football added an excellent piece to the 2027 class, with Fort Wayne (Ind.) Northrop four-star edge rusher Ifeanyi Emedobi pledged to the Wolverines. But what does the 6-foot-2, 214-pound pass rusher bring to the table?
Emedobi is coming off his first year playing high school football and yet managed a self-reported 50 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. Even after just one year, his upside is apparent, and he’s drawing a lot of comparisons to former Wolverines pass rusher Josh Uche, who thrived despite having similar measurables.

When the Pittsburgh Steelers selected former Penn State quarterback Drew Allar in the third round of the 2026 NFL draft, it came as something of a shock. Not just to fans but Allar himself who is a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan and didn’t seem at all excited about the pick. The Chicago Bears were dealt a surprising blow when Pro Bowl center Drew Dalman announced his shocking retirement at 27 years old, which forced them to pivot at a key position in Ben Johnson’s offense. That included using a second-round pick to land Logan Jones, the first center selected in the 2026 NFL Draft.
It was the second move made at center after Dalman’s retirement. Shortly after the news, the Bears traded for New England Patriots center Garrett Bradbury, a long-time NFC North veteran to serve as a stop-gap solution.

In the year 2000, WWE coined “Decade Of Destruction” as a way to celebrate The Undertaker’s first ten years with the company, back when that sort of thing was a minor miracle rather than the norm. 10 years in the 1990s felt like a hundred, and the pace of the second half of the decade in particular resulted in wrestlers having runs that felt like forever even if they’d now be able to go all the way up and back down the card in the time it takes somebody to make it to the end of finishing class in NXT.
Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and a theatre full of New York Knicks fans had the opportunity to confront ESPN talking head Stephen A. Smith for some of his past comments about the team during a podcast taping on Friday night.

The event, which took place one day after the team’s parade in New York City, was sold out with proceeds benefiting the Garden of Dreams Foundation.
Fight fans witnessed one of the quickest knockouts of all time on Friday night (June 19, 2026) at LFA 235 from inside Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky, as middleweight prospect Jake Woodley laid waste to his opponent David Wright with an incredible four-second finish.
Most of this week’s mixed martial arts (MMA) buzz has been centered around last Sunday’s UFC White House event, but Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) was looking to steal some of that attention on Friday with its first event in nearly a month.
