San Jose State women’s volleyball coach Todd Kress has been one of the key figures overseeing the inclusion of Blaire Fleming (a male-born player allowed to play with females) on the Spartans.
But Fleming’s introduction to the SJSU women’s volleyball team did not start with Kress, although the SJSU coach allowed the dilemma to continue.
Instead, current Loyola Marymount University coach Trent Kersten and his staff brought Fleming to San Jose after (Brayden) Fleming needed a team to play for.
Kersten was the head coach at SJSU before Todd Kress joined in 2023.

There have been few worse contracts in Major League Baseball history than the one the Los Angeles Angels gave out to Anthony Rendon. 
Rendon signed with the Angels before the 2020 season, as a highly coveted free agent. He was coming off an outstanding 2019, where he hit .319/.412/.598 for the Washington Nationals. His excellent defense at third base, on base skills, and career high 34 home runs contributed to nearly seven wins above replacement. And a world championship for the Nats.

The second edition of the 2024 College Football Playoff Rankings has been released and, to the surprise of nobody, Oregon remains at the top of the list after an emphatic 39-19 win over Maryland. 
Ohio State stays put at No. 2 after a 45-0 win over Northwestern, with the Buckeyes only loss coming on October 12 against the top-ranked Ducks.
Behind them, there is total chaos.
Georgia and Miami dropped out of the ranks of the top five after losses last week to Ole Miss and Georgia Tech, respectively.
Reminder: The top five conference champions get the top five seeds.

After losses by both Georgia and Miami, two spots will more than likely open up in the top ten and automatic bids for the inaugural 12-team playoff will be a bit more difficult to come by. The SEC is in a logjam right now, with the potential for an eight-way tie at the top.

On Tuesday, the coach slammed one of his former receivers, Diontae Johnson, ahead of the Steelers’ AFC North battle with the Baltimore Ravens.
Johnson went from the Steelers to the Panthers and is now repping the Baltimore Ravens following a trade in late October. The wideout was a valuable player in the Steelers’ offense but fizzled out because of bad behavior and a deliberate lack of effort during games.

About a month after it happened, it’s being reported that Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce both had their homes burglarized within hours of each other.
According to TMZ Sports, documents from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office indicate that Mahomes‘ home in Belton, Missouri was broken into around midnight on Oct. 6. 
It’s not exactly what — if anything — was taken from Mahomes home during the incident, but the plot certainly thickened when Kelce’s home in Leawood, Kansas was broken into less than 24 hours later.
