Lead NFL insider Jonathan Jones joins CBS Sport
The infamous ‘Kick-Six’ game between Alabama and Auburn may have happened over a decade ago at this point, but we’re still hearing new stories about what many would argue is the most memorable college football game of the 21st century.
The latest chapter in the story from 2013 comes from then-Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron, and it involves someone defecating in another man’s shoe.
On Fantasy Focus, the crew deep dives into why

The Chiefs aren’t bad, they’re just not special anymore.
There’s been a shift in our weekly power rankings for the first time since the season began. The Kansas City Chiefs are no longer No. 1, and the Detroit Lions have vaulted to become the top team in the NFL.
At first glance this might make no sense. After all, the Chiefs are still the only undefeated team left in the NFL — while the Lions are 8-1.

Bears veterans reportedly asked the coaching staff to bench Caleb Williams in favor of backup Tyson Bagent.
The Chicago Bears were one play away from being 5-2 on the season. Then Jayden Daniels connected on a Hail Mary that gave the Washington Commanders an unlikely win and sent Chicago’s season into a tailspin.
The Bears, now sitting at 4-5 on the season, fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron on Tuesday morning.

A change has come at F1 ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix
Tuesday has been busy in the Formula 1 world.
Two big stories already emerged, first, the long-expected announcement that Alpine and Mercedes had reached an agreement for Mercedes to be Alpine’s power unit supplier starting with the 2026 F1 season. Then came word that Dan Fallows would be moving aside from his current role as the team’s Technical Director, ahead of Adrian Newey’s arrival next year.

The Bears have fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron, and announced changes to the coaching staff.
Spring brought a sense of hope and renewal to Chicago.
The season itself can certainly accomplish that task, but more than anything else that sense of hope and renewal came on the gridiron.

Fans watching the Rams/Dolphins game witnessed a very touching moment Monday night.
Monday was Veterans Day, and it was a powerful reminder of the sacrifice the men and women who defend this country have to make.
We’re all very lucky to be defended by the greatest military the world has ever seen, and it’s made up of the best people on the planet.
Anyone who says differently has no idea what they’re talking about.
There are few things that move the emotional needle like servicemembers surprising their family, and that’s exactly what happened Monday night.

In a stunning turn of events that absolutely nobody could have seen coming, an ESPN employee has expressed that they do not respect President-Elect Donald Trump. The employee of the four-letter network who shared the opinion – one that undoubtedly aligns with most inside the company walls – is former NFL safety turned commentator, Ryan Clark.
To get the full story here, we need to go back to November 6, the day after Election Day, when it became crystal clear that Trump was running away with the 2024 Presidential Election.

When can Jets move on from Aaron Rodgers’ contract?
The New York Jets are suffering through another abysmal season, but this time it was supposed to be different. This time the Jets had former league MVP Aaron Rodgers, but it’s still been terrible. Offensive coordinator Nate Hackett was demoted, then head coach Robert Saleh was fired, but the Jets are still 3-7 and two games out of the final Wild Card spot.
Rodgers has gone 33 consecutive starts without throwing for 300 yards dating back to his time in Green Bay with the Packers.

Here are our 10 biggest takeaways from the new NBA season so far.
The 2024-25 NBA season is underway, and it’s already proven to be full of surprises.
The Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks were supposed to be fringe championship contenders, but so far both are among the worst teams in the league. The Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves were supposed to be the class of the West, but right now they’re stuck in the middle of the conference standings.
Flying with golf clubs is a nightmare. Not only do most airlines charge you to check your golf bag, you’re constantly stressed out about your clubs from the moment you drop them off with a stranger until they’re back in your hands at your destination. Then, the stress sets back in when you open up your travel bag to see whether or not the airline may have damaged your equipment.
For LPGA Tour player Jennifer Chang, the nightmare scenario unfolded, and the airline did in fact damage her equipment.

What can we expect from the rookie QBs for the rest of the season?
I was excited to write my mid-season fantasy breakdown and rest-of-season (ROS) rankings column on the rookie quarterbacks, but then they put up a collective stinker on Sunday. Check that—Bo Nix was OK (16.1 fantasy points), but Drake Maye (12.8), Jayden Daniels (8.6), and Caleb Williams (6.

Fran Harris — a decorated basketball player and entrepreneur — is working to bring the WNBA to Austin, Texas.
Fran Harris knows the city of Austin quite well. It’s where she’s spent most of her adult life, and where she won an NCAA championship as a basketball star at the University of Texas.
Now, the decorated athlete and entrepreneur hopes that the up-and-coming Texan city will serve as the home of the next WNBA expansion franchise.

But luckily for him, Eckroat has no worries about his status for 2025.
The Detroit Lions cooked Ryan Clark after beating the Houston Texans.
The Lions pulled off an impressive comeback victory Sunday night to beat the Texans 26-23 to improve to 8-1 on the season.
Dan Campbell has his squad rolling……and the Lions also made sure to save some receipts.
Prior to the Lions pulling off the awesome comeback victory, ESPN personality Ryan Clark declared Texans running Joe Mixon and his fantasy owners were “bout to have a night!”
Mixon finished the game with 46 rushing yards on 25 carries with one touchdown. He averaged just 1.
A Miami player behaved like a clown after losing to Georgia Tech.
The Yellow Jackets pulled off an incredible 28-23 upset of the Hurricanes this past weekend to hand Mario Cristobal’s team their first loss of the season.
It was an awesome game, and a great reminder of just how chaotic college football can be at its core. Unfortunately for one Miami player, his temper boiled over and he took things a bit too far.
Barstool Sports shared a viral video on X of a Georgia Tech fan having his phone ripped from his hand and tossed across the field by a Miami player.
Sam Koch looked like he was playing very, very badly. In fact, he was changing one of sport’s strangest positions for ever.

The Los Angeles Rams had every reason to win Monday Night Football’s matchup against the Miami Dolphins.
Instead, the Rams suffered what many called a ‘demoralizing loss’ at home, losing to the Fins, 23-15.
Stafford made the critical mistake of the night, down 20-9 with 6:46 in the fourth quarter, when he missed a wide-open Kyren Williams in the end zone.
The Rams’ mistakes, including the easily missed touchdown, proved too much to overcome.
