The Chargers simply found a way on Monday night.
Justin Herbert found a way with his legs and masterful game sense to lead the Chargers down the field when it mattered most. The Chargers secondary found a way to keep Jalen Hurts in an uncomfortable spot all night long. These are just two examples of the Bolts taking “where there’s a will, there’s a way” all the way to heart.
The team is coming off the worst loss of the season after dropping one to the Saints in Week 14. The team itself looked beyond lost for most of the game, and the weather didn’t help matters. That being said, it is a short week, and the Falcons are waiting for them on Thursday.
The Tuesday practice report for the Bucs is out, and the team is having folks work towards returning on a short week.
The injuries have piled up, as we said, but some players are making progress in their return, or have returned altogether.
Sean O’Malley finds himself on the cusp of UFC title contention once again.
With Merab Dvalishvili (21-5 MMA, 14-3 UFC) losing his bantamweight title to Petr Yan (20-5 MMA, 12-4 UFC) on Saturday at UFC 323, O’Malley’s matchup against Song Yadong at UFC 324 on Jan. 24 could suddenly be a No. 1 contender’s bout.
That’s because O’Malley (18-3 MMA, 10-3 UFC) is coming off back-to-back title losses to Dvalishvili but holds a close win over Yan at UFC 280.

It doesn’t matter how many years you play or how many teammates you meet along the way. There are two lonely positions in football. There’s the quarterback. There’s the kicker. Think about what Jalen Hurts and Jake Elliott go through during a typical Philadelphia Eagles game.
Elliott can spend hours lost in his own world, often going unnoticed. That is, until someone requires him to deliver both what is ‘expected’ and what is ‘miraculous.’ A big win? That’s no big deal. A big loss? Now, that’s a significant problem.

When the airing of grievances finally concludes, Notre Dame will do what it always does. The Irish will stay independent.
Never mind the speculative tweets or the podcast debates, you can’t seriously believe the Irish’s College Football Playoff omission will force them into a conference.
The Irish would love to be in the playoff, but they value their independence more than they care about college football’s postseason.
That’s not going to change just because the selection committee belatedly decided to recognize Miami beat Notre Dame on the final day of August.

Pat Cummins has taken 309 wickets at an average of 22.10 in 71 Tests [Getty Images]
Australia captain Pat Cummins will return for what could be a decisive third Ashes Test against England in Adelaide next week.
The fast bowler missed the first two Tests – which Australia won – because of a back problem.
His addition is the only change to the Australia squad following the eight-wicket win in Brisbane.
Australia need only a draw in Adelaide to retain the Ashes, while victory will mean they win the five-Test series.
England have never come from 2-0 down to win the Ashes.
England could not escape Australian sledging on their break from the Ashes series in the beach town of Noosa.
As the squad assembled on the beach on Wednesday morning, the players were approached by two local radio hosts – dressed in full whites – holding signs that read “For sale, moral victories” and “Bazballers anonymous, free counselling”.
Captain Ben Stokes was able to embrace the humour, posing for pictures.
Stokes’ reaction was in keeping with England’s relaxed approach to media attention on the tour.
