Able to turn lineups over three times, command his pitches, and work deep into games with elite stuff. For the Yankees, hoping to run it back for 2025 and finally win another championship, he’s as valuable as it gets.

The NBA took action against Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid after his recent interactions with a columnist where Embiid shouted at the man and shoved him.
NBA exec Joe Dumars posted the decision Tuesday, announcing that Embiid will sit out three games without pay. Embiid has yet to play a game for Philly this season.
The scene involving Inquirer columnist Marcus Hayes happened Saturday night after a 76ers loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
Embiid had been aware of a recent story by Hayes where the columnist mentioned Embiid’s son and his late brother.

The Summer Olympics already have 3×3 basketball, so why not throw some 3×3 hockey in the Winter Games?
I can’t think of any reason not to, and neither can the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) because they’re getting a proposal ready that could put the pared-down version of hockey in the 2030 Olympics in the French Alps.
According to the IIHF, adding 3×3 hockey would provide more opportunities for players to compete at the international level. We see this with 3×3 basketball too.

The NBA has announced its suspended of Joel Embiid for shoving a Philadelphia columnist inside the locker room.
Joel Embiid confronted a local columnist inside the Philadelphia 76ers’ locker room on Saturday night, cursing him out and eventually shoving him for references to his son and deceased brother in a recent critical story. The NBA has now suspended Embiid for three games.
Embiid still hasn’t played this season as he works his way back from what the team is calling “left knee management.

It was just a few short weeks ago that the USC Trojans were considered potential College Football Playoff contenders. A season-opening win over the LSU Tigers set expectations soaring, with a vastly improved defense and the second consecutive impressive performance by new quarterback Miller Moss.

2009 U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover made his feelings known about the PGA Tour’s proposed changes on Sirius XM Radio.
Lucas Glover has been around the block.
The soon-to-be 45-year-old joined the PGA Tour two decades ago and has won six career events since, including the 2009 U.S. Open at Bethpage Black. He’s an experienced veteran who understands how things work on tour—except for the FedEx Cup Fall, but that’s a different story in and of itself.

While voting is typically a seamless and painless process, there are instances where it can be difficult, at least in the states that actually require a photo ID to vote. South Carolina is one of those states, and Clemson head football coach Dabo Swinney fell victim to a nightmare scenario at the voting booth on Election Day.
During his Tuesday news conference, Swinney explained that he wasn’t allowed to vote at his local polling place. 
“They done voted me out of the state,” Swinney joked before getting into specifics. “We’re 6-2 and 5-1, man.

One of my favorite things in sports is watching fans of a team convince themselves that a player who has struggled just needs a “change of scenery” and that their team is the perfect landing spot. 
That’s where wide receiver Mike Williams comes into play. After trading for Davante Adams, the New York Jets had no use for Williams. 
So, on Tuesday, they traded him to the Pittsburgh Steelers prior to the NFL trade deadline. 
Naturally, Steelers fans are excited. 
The truth is that Mike Williams isn’t very good.

The New Jersey Devils found themselves on the road against the Edmonton Oilers on Monday night, meaning that the game had to go toe-to-toe with a Monday Night Football matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
It was less than ideal, but the Devils’ social team had a hilarious, cross-sport shot at the Chiefs and their uncanny ability to have things fall their way.
