The Chicago Bulls of the NBA have made major changes in their front office. They’ve dismissed executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Mark Eversley, according to Shams Charania of ESPN.
The Bulls have been no better than mediocre since the Karnisovas-Eversley partnership started in 2020. Under their watch, the Bulls went 224-254, made one playoff appearance, and are now out of the postseason for the fourth straight season.
Vucevic trade
In the 2020 trade deadline, the group traded for Nikola Vucevic and Al-Farouq Aminu from the Orlando Magic.
North Carolina intends to hire former longtime NBA coach Michael Malone as the school’s next basketball coach, sources told ESPN.
Multan Sultans captain Ashton Turner joked that he might “find somewhere to get a blanket and a pillow and sleep here” after Multan Sultans were scheduled to play back-to-back matches at the Gaddafi Stadium.

The Philadelphia Phillies had a few free agents to make decisions on this past offseason, and they brought back J.T. Realmuto and Kyle Schwarber while letting Harrison Bader and Ranger Suarez walk.
The departure of Surez, a beloved lefty by Phillies fans, was a tough loss. He signed with the Boston Red Sox on a huge $140 million deal across five years.

Adding in a veteran cornerback seems to be a priority for the Houston Texans ahead of the draft.
General manager Nick Caserio and head coach DeMeco Ryans might have found their next reclamation project.
According to reports, the Texans are hosting former Cleveland Browns cornerback Martin Emerson for a free agency visit ahead of the NFL draft.
Emerson, a former starting defender and third-round pick out of Mississippi State, suffered a torn Achilles tendon last year during training camp, but has been progressing strongly during the offseason.

INDIANAPOLIS – Over the past week, many around college basketball were expecting North Carolina to make a splash hire after firing Hubert Davis. I don’t know if former NBA coach Michael Malone is the answer, but the Tar Heels intend on trying.
After multiple coaches leveraged UNC for contract extensions, the Tar Heels at least thought they’d have a chance to steal Tommy Lloyd away from Arizona.
After discussing financial aspects of a potential deal, Lloyd decided to remain in Tucson, leaving UNC to continue searching.
ESPN’s Pete Thamel first reported the news.

Dexter Lawrence and the New York Giants have beef.
That’s not exactly huge news in that the sides have disagreed about multiple things in recent years, including the release of quarterback Daniel Jones, a close friend of Lawrence, and, more importantly, Lawrence’s contract.
But now that latter tension has gotten to the point that Lawrence might be traded.
Lawrence has asked the team to be traded, OutKick has confirmed, as ESPN first reported. And the team, is at least open to taking phone calls about the player, per a source.

Through the 2024-25 season, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a total of 506 players suit up for them, going back to their days in Minneapolis. Some were forgettable, some were serviceable, some were good and a select few were flat-out legendary.
During the Lakers’ 80th season of existence (they were founded back in 1946 as the Detroit Gems in the National Basketball League), LeBron Wire is taking a look at each player who has worn their jersey, whether it has been a purple and gold one or the ones they donned back in the Midwest during their early years.

The Green Bay Packers will host Louisiana linebacker Jaden Dugger, an All-Sun Belt Conference selection and an elite athlete, on a pre-draft visit before the 2026 NFL draft, per Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Dugger, who stands almost 6-5 and weighs 242 pounds, produced 125 tackles in 2025, the sixth most in school history. He also tallied 4.0 sacks and 13 tackles for loss, helping him earn first-team All-Sun Belt honors. Dugger was invited to and participated in the East-West Shrine Game.
The 2026 NFL Draft will take place in Pittsburgh this month, a city that could be where the Vikings select the next star they add to their roster in hopes of righting the proverbial ship. Before then, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup for the team and who they may add to the roster through the draft. Thankfully, we now have some added context for players now that the scouting combine has come and gone.
We’re rounding third base in the college softball season with conference tournaments a month away.
Alabama (35-3) ascended to the spot after taking two of three games against No. 1 Texas. The Crimson Tide bounced back from a 9-1 loss in the series opener vs. the defending national champions on April 2, to beat the Longhorns 11-4 and 7-4 over the weekend.
The Women’s College World Series begins May 29 in Oklahoma City.

To say that Dexter Lawrence’s career has been wasted up to this point would be a massive understatement.
There are tough questions to ask after a national championship loss. And then there are questions you probably should’ve Googled first.
We saw a good example of the latter during the press conference following the women’s national championship game on Sunday.

A blockbuster WNBA trade (bet you never thought you’d read that phrase on OutKick) took place on Monday with the Chicago Sky sending forward Angel Reese to the Atlanta Dream for two first-round draft picks. The sports media has spent the past several years (dating back to her LSU days) trying to convince everyone that Reese is every bit as valuable and talented as Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark, which is why this trade deals a huge blow to that narrative.
As I’ve documented many times throughout Reese’s first two seasons in the WNBA, she’s an OK player.
