On Sunday, Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Kevin Gausman was ejected by home plate umpire Chris Conroy. 
Blinded by his fury, Gausman stormed off the mound, missed the first step of the clubhouse stairs, and took a wild tumble at Yankee Stadium.
The right-hander wasn’t watching his footing after a disastrous third inning — staggering off after a 53-pitch frame where he gave up six runs, five walks, and two hits to the Yankees lineup.
Arguing balls and strikes with umpire Chris Conroy, Gausman was told to hit the showers, which set him off and sent him down.

Tanner Miller was a major addition last offseason, following head coach Jonathan Smith over from Oregon State. Now, after one season with the Spartans, the former Michigan State football offensive lineman has now signed a rookie minicamp deal with the Las Vegas Raiders, giving himself a shot at the next level.
Miller started at center for Michigan State in every game he played in, but was All-Conference at Oregon State while playing 10 games at guard and three at center.
Tanner Miller has been a remarkable story throughout his career, which started as a walk-on with the Beavers back in 2019.

NEW YORK — The Brooklyn Nets came into the 2024-25 NBA season with the franchise beginning a new era with a full-scale rebuild and a new head coach in Jordi Fernandez. Time will tell if this current rebuild will be the one that allows Brooklyn to be a championship contender in short order and for years to come if the process is done correctly.
At the moment, it seems that the Nets and everyone outside of the organization agrees that the team found the right coach with Fernandez given how he has commanded the respect of the locker room.

The Boston Celtics met the Orlando Magic in Game 4 on Sunday night, looking to take back control of the series after Orlando earned a gritty Game 3 victory. That grittiness and chippy play continued in Game 4, with plenty of jawing back-and-forth with hard fouls on both sides, it’s simply playoff basketball with a young Orlando team looking to bring it to the reigning champions.
Point guard Jrue Holiday was out for a second straight game, and the starting five of Jayson Tatum, Derrick White, Jaylen Brown, Al Horford, and Kristaps Porzingis carried most of the load.

MONTREAL (AP) — Andrew Mangiapane scored the go-ahead goal with just under four minutes remaining, Brandon Duhaime had two goals and Logan Thompson made 16 saves to lead the Washington Capitals to a 5-2 win over the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday night for a 3-1 lead in the first-round series.
The teams head back to Washington, where the Capitals won the first two games, for Game 5 on Wednesday night.
Dylan Strome had a goal and assist and Mangiapane and Tom Wilson also scored for the Capitals.
Juraj Slafkovsky and Cole Caufield scored for Montreal.
