Aces coach Becky Hammon has denied any wrongdoing in connection to a WNBA investigation looking into the mistreatment of former player Dearica Hamby.
Hammon’s two-game suspension without pay came after the league looked into Hamby’s allegations that her pregnancy negatively impacted her status with Las Vegas and led to bullying. Hamby and a 2024 first-round pick were traded to the Sparks in January for a 2024 second-round pick and the rights to Amanda Zahui B.

One of the great side plots of any baseball game is the relationship between the players and the umpires. I think I’m uniquely qualified to discuss this, as I umpire high school baseball during the summer. The exchange between Detroit Tigers manager AJ Hinch and home plate umpire Nic Lentz on Wednesday afternoon is one of the better ones you’ll hear.
Following the strikeout of Tigers batter Eric Haase, Haase stopped to say something to Lentz. It’s unclear what Haase said to Lentz, but Lentz clearly responds, “I’m not perfect back here, you know I’m not.

The series between the New York Yankees and the Blue Jays has been contentious, to say the least. Judge seemed to be caught peeking into the Yankees dugout during Monday night’s game, just before hitting a gigantic home run.
The Blue Jays’ broadcast team noticed it and called it out on the air, leading to accusations that Judge and his team were cheating.
But if Toronto reliever Jay Jackson is to be believed, the Yankees were simply picking up on his own mistakes.

It sounds like Ryan Reynolds has. at least one rule Wrexham FC players are supposed to follow: tarps on if you’re going to say hi to the boss’ wife.
Well, at least if you’re going to be meeting co-owner Ryna Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively.
According to The US Sun, Reynolds instituted this rule thanks to Wrexham striker Ollie Palmer’s propensity to say “sup?” without a shirt on.
“Every time we’ve come as a family we’ve come over we have a walk down to the dressing room,” Reynolds said on the Fearless In Devotion podcast.

The San Francisco 49ers have a mole. Someone inside the organization is leaking practice film.
That’s a big no-no.
Jahcour Pearson didn’t get the looks he deserved out of college. The former Class of 2016 recruit began his career at Western Kentucky and caught 20 passes for 172 yards before a breakout junior season.
Pearson was the Hilltoppers’ second-leading receiver in 2019 and caught a career-high 76 passes for 804 yards and seven touchdowns. He played two games during the COVID-shortened 2020 season before entering the portal and transferring to Ole Miss.

In a year with a generational prospect with Victor Wembanyama, Tuesday night’s draft lottery was always going to have one winner and 29 teams feeling like losers. The Spurs emerged with the top pick, though moments before that was revealed, the 7’4” Wembanyama appeared to let out a brief celebration when the Rockets received the No. 4 pick, taking them out of the running for the French phenom.
At least one Houston player has taken notice.
On Wednesday morning, Rockets wing Jabari Smith Jr.
