EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) — The Los Angeles Chargers selected North Carolina running back Omarion Hampton with the 22nd pick in the NFL draft on Thursday night.
Hampton had consecutive seasons with more than 1,500 yards rushing in his final two seasons for the Tar Heels, finishing his third and final collegiate campaign with 1,660 yards and 15 touchdowns in 12 games. He led the ACC in carries and rushing yards in back-to-back seasons and added 73 receptions for 635 yards and four touchdowns during his college career.

The New York Giants made things really interesting at the NFL Draft on Thursday night.
The Giants, who selected Abdul Carter with the No. 3 overall pick, traded back into the first round with the Houston Texans
The Giants got the No. 25 pick and the Texans get the No. 34 overall, No. 99 overall and a 2026 third-round pick.
With the 25th overall pick the Giants selected QB Jaxson Dart from Mississippi.

The tipping point for Shedeur Sanders was always going to be dependent on what the Pittsburgh Steelers did with the No. 21 pick in the NFL draft.
Well, the tipping point came and went and Sanders was not selected by the Steelers.
The Steelers instead selected defensive lineman Derrick Harmon of Oregon.
And then everyone else came and went. And Sanders went undrafted in the first round. 
“We all didn’t expect this, of course,” Sanders told those gathered at his draft party. “I feel like with God everything is possible.

Well, the tipping point came and went and Sanders was not selected by the Steelers.
The Steelers instead selected defensive lineman Derrick Harmon of Oregon.
Harmon is a legitimate pick. He was easily a value pick at No. 21.
But it was something as the networks showed Steelers coach Mike Tomlin on the phone and then Sanders at his Colorado draft party – and not on the other end of Tomlin’s line.
So now we have questions.
