It was May 9, 1993, at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain. The Formula 1 world witnessed a unique convergence of talent as Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, and Michael Schumacher shared the podium for the first and only time. Between them, they would amass 14 world champions, 183 race wins, and 341 podium finishes.
The 1993 Spanish Grand Prix was the fifth race of the season. Prost, driving for Williams-Renault, secured pole position with a time of 1:17.809. Despite a slow start due to gearbox issues, he regained the lead from teammate Damon Hill on lap 11 and maintained it until the end.

INDIANAPOLIS — Bryce Clouse is a man who likes to arrive early for sporting events. Get there. Get settled in.
And get focused.
“That’s just how I was raised,” Clouse said. “I love sports. And I love to see the action from beginning to end.”
IndyStar photojournalist Mykal McEldowney photographed the 25-year-old Clouse at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Friday night before Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers sitting alone in his section behind the basket amid a sea of “Boom Baby!” yellow t-shirts draped over seats.
Bayer Leverkusen vs. Borussia Dortmund preview: Top four-chasing Dortmund look for huge win
The hosts staged a late comeback in their 2-2 draw with Freiburg on May 3, scoring twice after the 82nd minute despite generating just 0.29 xG throughout the match. Although Leverkusen have managed three clean sheets in their last five outings, their attacking efficiency has waned, with only six goals scored in that time, compared to eight in their previous three fixtures.
DENVER — Receiving Nikola Jokic’s kick-out pass, Aaron Gordon served the dagger for the second time in three games. A baseline mid-ranger jumper rattled in during the final minute of overtime as OKC experienced some serious deja vu. Both from Game 1’s loss and last year’s playoff exit.
The Oklahoma City Thunder saw their offense dry up when the lights were the brightest in their 113-104 overtime Game 3 loss to the Denver Nuggets. They now face a 2-1 Round 2 series hole.
As expected, Game 3 was the most dramatic outing between the two heavyweights.
It’s a known fact that one of the most worn shoes by NBA players—and basketball players in general—is some version of a Kobe Bryant model. We’ve seen more and more colorways dropping lately, and this re-release stands out as one of the best among the Kobe 9s.
Nike has a tradition with its “What The” colorways—some of which really make you say, What the… at first glance. The design concept takes multiple colorways from a signature line and blends them into one wild look. Whenever Nike used to do this, it usually signaled a new and upcoming model for that player.

Virat Kohli will retire from Test cricket after he informed the Indian board of his intention to give up red-ball game with immediate effect, according to reports in India.
Officials from the BCCI have asked Kohli to reconsider and have been in talks with him for a month. They want his experience in the team for the five-Test England series that starts in June. Earlier this week, another Indian great, captain Rohit Sharma, announced his retirement.
Real Madrid talisman set for summer surgery to resolve long-standing injury concerns
According to a report from MARCA, it appears that Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham will finally undergo shoulder surgery in the summer to resolve the persistent pain that has been troubling him for over a year.
The 21-year-old has been battling shoulder issues for quite some time, first starting during his tenure at Borussia Dortmund, but it was the injury he sustained in November 2023, during a 0-0 draw against Rayo Vallecano, that exacerbated the problem.

Real Madrid’s players arrived at training on Wednesday morning to find seven teddy bears waiting for them. Lined up on a bush outside Valdebebas, they wore white shirts and a banner had been placed in front of them, alongside a couple of Spain flags with the club badge in the middle where the crown should go. “Grazie, Inter,” it said. The night before, Simone Inzaghi’s side had done for them what they had not been able to do for themselves, at least not yet.
DENVER (AP) — Shai Gilgeous-Alexander didn’t sulk over his off night. He didn’t hang his head, either, after the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder lost to the Denver Nuggets for the second time in three games.
He just smiled. And as some fans in the Ball Arena crowd taunted the Thunder guard while he left the court following the 113-104 overtime loss, his smile — like his resolve — only grew.
“It’s easy to taunt when you’re up,” said Gilgeous-Alexander, who was 7 of 22 from the floor Friday night, including 1 of 6 from 3-point range, and finished with 18 points.
“As soon as possible” – Man United preparing to make major contract decision on ‘colossal’ star
Manchester United must decide what to do with their revitalised veteran Casemiro sooner rather than later.
The Brazilian has been playing his football at Old Trafford since making the £60-million transfer from Real Madrid in the summer of 2022.
Although he managed to prove his worth on some occasions over the past two campaigns under Erik ten Hag, his performances were a far cry from his dominating displays in the Spanish capital.
