Giovanni Williams, the brother of Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams and Jets linebacker Quincy Williams, is participating in the Jets’ rookie minicamp on a tryout basis.
Giovanni spoke with reporters on Saturday.
“Quinnen told me, ‘Be yourself.’ He said, ‘Whatever happens, happens. God already got it for you,’” Williams said, via Colin Martin of SNY.tv.

Houston Astros pitcher Lance McCullers says he and his family were subjected to death threats after he gave up seven runs in the first inning of Saturday night’s 13-9 loss to the Cincinnati Reds.
A team spokesperson said the Astros have notified the Houston Police Department and Major League Baseball security about the comments made on social media.
“I understand people are very passionate and people love the Astros and love sports, but threatening to find my kids and murder them is a little bit tough to deal with,” McCullers said after Saturday’s game.

It was only a regular-season game in early May, but some Houston Astros fans did not take the team’s loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday night very well. According to Astros starting pitcher Lance McCullers Jr., he and his children received death threats after his rocky outing on the bump.
In what was only his second start since the 2022 World Series as he’s dealt with numerous injuries, McCullers allowed seven earned runs in just one-third of an inning in Houston’s eventual 13-9 loss at home.
