Last week, there was a law signed in the State of Tennessee that caught a number of folks by surprise, most importantly the ones making decisions on enforcement of the House settlement.
The reason this caught the eye of college leaders across the country is that it gives universities within the state the ability to navigate around a number of new rules that will come if the House settlement is approved.

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence had his first chance to take the practice field with new teammate Travis Hunter on Monday, and let’s just say he likes what he saw out of the rookie playmaker.
Hunter is an incredibly unique talent given his impact on both sides of the ball, and while he insists on being used as a two-way player in the NFL, he exclusively took reps as a wide receiver during the team’s first organized team activity (OTA) to begin the week.

The conference finals are wide open. Let’s predict the matchup we’ll get for the 2025 NBA Finals.
NBA dynasties are dead, parity is king, and if the 2025 playoffs have taught us anything, it’s to expect the unexpected. The NBA will have a different champion for the seventh straight year, something that has never happened in league history. Commissioner Adam Silver sought to create parity by implementing rule changes in the new Collective Bargaining Agreement, and it’s working more effectively than anyone could have anticipated.
Its Tuesday, May 20 and the Cubs (28-20) are in Miami to take on the Marlins (19-27).
Jameson Taillon is slated to take the mound for Chicago against Ryan Weathers for Miami.
Jesus Sanchez homered to lead off the bottom of the first for the Marlins and tripled to drive in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth yesterday in the Marlins’ 8-7 win. Miguel Amaya drove in five runs for the Cubs, but it was not enough for Chicago.
Lets dive into the matchup and find a sweat or two.
LONDON (AP) — Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has expressed his unhappiness at his team getting two fewer days to prepare for the Conference League final compared to Spanish opponent Real Betis.
While Betis plays its final La Liga match on Friday against Valencia, Chelsea closes its Premier League campaign on Sunday – three days before the Conference League final in Wroclaw, Poland – against Nottingham Forest.
It’s a huge game for Chelsea, too, with Champions League qualification on the line for both teams at the City Ground.
Bianca Andreescu, the former U.S. Open champion, is making headlines not just for her comeback performance on the court, but for the profound personal changes she’s embraced off of it. Following her first victory in the French Open qualifiers, Andreescu opened up during her post-match press conference about a powerful moment of inspiration that led her to quit alcohol — a decision she attributes to a single interview with NBA legend Kobe Bryant.
“You know when you watch something or read something, and something just clicks in you sometimes,” Andreescu explained to reporters.
Canada faced Oman in the 69th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup League Two in Florida. Though Oman was 4th and Canada 5th, both teams are closely matched in the standings.
The two teams have secured nine wins from their matches, each accumulating 20 points. In addition, Oman has a higher net run rate of +0.037, while Canada trails closely with +0.028. Oman took the first strike at the crease and set a target of 217 runs in their allocated 50 overs. However, they had a slow start, managing only 25 runs in the first ten overs, with key batters Aamir Kaleem and Jatinder Singh falling cheaply.
The truth of the matter is the NFL doesn’t like the look of the Tush Push. And multiple teams don’t love the success the Philadelphia Eagles have by running the play while they fail miserably at both stopping it on defense and duplicating its success on offense.
So the NFL will be spending the next two days, starting on Tuesday, debating and then voting on a possible ban of the Tush Push.
And if NFL bosses successfully rub out the Tush Push as seems likely, what you’ll hear next out of their mouths is that they weren’t necessarily trying to ban the Tush Push at all.
