Doesn’t it feel like just yesterday we were watching a clip of Nick Saban taking a shot at Jimbo Fisher’s roster-building techniques at Texas A&M as NIL first made its way into college athletics?
The entire landscape of sports has changed, and some will argue it has only gotten worse along the way, ever since that press conference inside the Aggies’ football facility in College Station, Texas. As we sit here, waiting for July to roll around, with the new era of athletics set to begin, it’s hard not to look back and think about how far we’ve come.

The Warriors stole Game 1, but they have lost Stephen Curry for Game 2.
One day after Curry exited Golden State’s 99-88 Game 1 victory over the Timberwolves with an injury, an MRI Wednesday revealed a left hamstring strain. Curry won’t play in Game 2 on Thursday night, according to a person with knowledge who spoke on the condition of anonymity because Curry’s status had not been announced by the team.
The Minnesota Vikings are coming off a 14-3 season in which they were led by a backup quarterback and had very low expectations. As a result, they are going to have more eyeballs on them than ever before, so of course, they are going to have some games that will mean more on a national stage.
One of those games is getting a push from NFL Media as a top ten matchup in 2025 due to the history between the quarterbacks in the matchup.
This week, NFL Media released their top ten matchups for the upcoming season, and within it, the game between the Vikings and Seahawks made the cut.
Bucs Super Bowl MVP Dexter Jackson has been very vocal regarding the Buccaneers in recent weeks.
His most recent comments have come out with high praise for the Buccaneers’ 2025 draft class, saying that GM Jason Licht and company “got it right” with addressing pressing needs on the roster. Canada’s dry spell could end this year.
You’d be hard pressed to find anything innately funnier than Canada’s inability to win a Stanley Cup over the last three decades. The nation that gave us the sport of hockey, nurtured its culture, and provides over 40% of players in the league hasn’t had a team hoist the cup since 1993, when the Montreal Canadiens beat Wayne Gretzky and the L.A. Kings.
In that time we’ve seen teams from Florida win the cup four times, Carolina win once — even Las Vegas and Dallas have had their time in the sun.
