The Green Bay Packers were eliminated from the NFL playoffs by the Philadelphia Eagles in the wild-card round in January. It didn’t take long for the Packers to seek revenge for that loss.
Green Bay proposed a rule change that would effectively kill the “tush push,” the league’s Football Operations department revealed Wednesday. The Packers’ proposal is one of three the NFL will debate during its annual league meeting, which will take place between March 30 and April 2.

Memphis basketball star PJ Haggerty became a consensus All-American Wednesday.
The sophomore guard earned second-team honors from the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) and a third-team nod from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) to complete the clean sweep of what the NCAA recognizes for consensus status. Haggerty had already landed second-team spots on The Associated Press and The Sporting News lists.
The Tigers (29-5) are set to face Colorado State (25-9) in the first round of the NCAA tournament Friday (1 p.m., TBS) in Seattle.

The Los Angeles Dodgers’ two-way superstar rocked custom cleats for this week’s Tokyo series that featured his beloved Dutch Kooikerhondje, Decoy. The kicks — which he showed off on Instagram after Tuesday’s 4-1 win over the Chicago Cubs — featured an image of the pup stitched into the heel of the cleats and painted on the bottom.
Ohtani posted the custom New Balances alongside photos of some sweets from his wife, Mamiko, wishing him a happy Opening Day.

LEXINGTON, KY – Turning the corner towards Rupp Arena to cover the NCAA Tournament on Wednesday morning, I almost ran into the back of the car in front of me because I was distracted by a large gathering of people holding signs and chanting in unison.
A rather large group of protesters were staged just outside the Hyatt hotel, right next to Rupp Arena, where the NCAA tournament is being held this week. They wanted anybody who would listen to help them “Make America Sane Again” and ‘Defend Democracy.
