The fall of Shedeur Sanders was the talk of the 2025 NFL draft weekend. The former Colorado quarterback was selected in the fifth round by the Cleveland Browns. Outside of Sanders’ surprising fall down draft boards, he was pranked during the draft, with the caller pretending to be New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis.
He wasn’t the only NFL player pranked on draft weekend. Oregon offensive tackle Josh Conerly Jr. went No. 29 overall to the Washington Commanders. However, the All-American lineman thought he was going sooner, to the Denver Broncos, which picked at No.

The Vancouver Canucks are officially searching for a new head coach, but the bigger question might be how their captain feels about it.
Canucks president Jim Rutherford admitted during Tuesday’s announcement of Rick Tocchet’s exit that he never heard back from Quinn Hughes after calling the defenseman to inform him of Tocchet’s departure.
“I hope he’s playing golf because he usually returns my calls right away,” Rutherford said. “I called him within half an hour after I talked to Rick. He hasn’t called me back yet.
Bayern in advanced negotiations to sign Chilean player
Early transfer news for Bayern Munich? After weeks of speculations around bringing in a new centre-back, the Bayern officials have seemingly been working on getting a new midfielder!
Felipe Loyola, who plays for Argentinian club Independiente, is close to joining the Rekordmeister for reportedly around €20 million. The Chilean can play in central midfield and as a rightback if needed.
Profile-wise he has been compared to Bayern’s Konrad Laimer who has also been used by the Bavarians in midfield and as a rightback.
INDIANAPOLIS — Bounding up the stairs to the Fever practice gym on the first day of training camp Sunday, Kelsey Mitchell seemed ecstatic.
Not just for her eighth season in a Fever jersey, but for some of the new players around her — including 15-year veteran DeWanna Bonner, who joined the team via free agency this offseason.
“I got DB, I got the best vet in the world!” Mitchell shouted toward the camera, both her and Bonner flexing in the hallway.

Game 5 will be judgment day in a way for the Los Angeles Lakers. They trail the Minnesota Timberwolves three games to one in their first-round playoff series, and they blew two golden opportunities to, at the very least, make this series competitive by falling apart in the final minutes of Game 3 and Game 4.
That means their season could come to an abrupt and stunning end in Game 5 on Wednesday at Crypto.com Arena. Few likely imagined that type of outcome as recently as a couple of weeks ago when many felt the Lakers were legitimate championship contenders.
Ancelotti to Brazil off as blame game begins – What next for the Real Madrid manager?
After months of speculation and rumours, it is now official – Carlo Ancelotti will not become the next coach of the Brazil national team.
What once looked like a done deal has completely collapsed, leaving many to question what lies ahead for the Italian manager and what it means for Real Madrid.
The reports linking Ancelotti to Brazil were strong and consistent. Many believed it was only a matter of time before he took charge of the South American giants.
The New England Patriots had a strong draft that drew positive grades from those around the NFL.
And while much of the talk is around Will Campbell, TreVeyon Henderson and Kyle Williams, one respected former Patriots executive sees a fifth rounder as one player to watch.
“Don’t sleep on fellow Tiger, 5th round pick Bradyn Swinson,” Scott Pioli wrote on X. “I got to see quite a bit of them both on the field and off the field while consulting for @LSUfootball the past couple of seasons. I truly think Swinson’s best football is ahead of him.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Shohei Ohtani’s “Dad Strength” is finally beginning to kick in as the Los Angeles Dodgers’ slugger hit his first home run since the birth of his daughter to jump-start a 15-2 victory over the Miami Marlins on Tuesday night.
“It was a good home run to get back on the board for this game,” Ohtani said through an interpreter. “I haven’t hit one since being a father, so it’s a really nice one to be able to do that.
