The Packers have made the playoffs in each of the past two seasons with Jordan Love as the starting QB, losing at Philadelphia in the Wild Card last season. Love is playing on a four-year, $220 million extension, with Green Bay betting on their quarterback as they look to return to the elite of the NFC.
Green Bay had the youngest team in the NFL last season. While Love spread the ball around to a crew of receivers last year, the Packers could use a true No. 1 target for their franchise QB. Green Bay could also choose to draft a new cornerback this year.

The Texans have added a quarterback to their draft haul.
Former Florida signal caller Graham Mertz was selected in the sixth round with the 197th overall pick. He joins C.J. Stroud, Davis Mills, and Kedon Slovis on the depth chart in Houston.
Mertz spent four years at Wisconsin before heading to Gainesville for the last two seasons. He was a starter in his final two seasons with Wisconsin and with the Gators, but he tore his ACL five games into the 2024 season.

After the start of Saturday afternoon’s game between the Mets and Washington Nationals at Nationals Park was delayed due to inclement weather, the matchup between NL East teams did not get far before it was stopped because of rain.
Originally a 4:05 p.m. start time, the game was pushed back to 4:30 p.m.. However, with one out in the bottom of the first, rain began to pour at Nationals Park, forcing the umpires to stop play and the groundscrew to come out with the tarp. The game was just 13 minutes in when the stoppage occurred.

Former Ohio State Buckeyes star Will Howard had to wait a while to hear his name called in the 2025 NFL Draft, but he has to be happy with the landing spot. 
Despite leading the Buckeyes to national championship glory in his lone season with Ohio State in 2024, Howard had to wait until the sixth round to receive a call from a team.
That call came from the Pittsburgh Steelers, who selected Howard with the 185th overall pick, adding him to a quarterback room that is far from crowded.
Indeed, Mason Rudolph and Skylar Thompson are the only other quarterbacks on the Steelers’ depth chart.
