CLEVELAND (AP) — Kyle Manzardo homered to right field to lead off the ninth inning as the Cleveland Guardians snapped a three-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night.
Manzardo connected on a changeup down the middle by Louis Varland (1-2) for his eighth homer of the season and the first walk-off hit of his career.
It was the second walk-off win for the Guardians this season. They won their home opener on April 8 over the Chicago White Sox 1-0 on a bases-loaded walk.
Emmanuel Clase (4-0) got the win after pitching a scoreless ninth inning.

Former Mississippi State defensive back Traveon Wright announced his commitment to Purdue on Tuesday. 
A three-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class, Wright signed with Memphis out of Perry high school (Georgia) before coming to MSU. He spent one year with the Bulldogs, appearing in one game as a redshirt freshman, before hitting the portal for the second time in two years. 
Wright got snaps on both sides of the ball at Perry. He caught 22 passes for 437 yards and 6 TD in 12 games. On defense, credited with 27 tackles and an INT. Helped Perry go 10-2 in Georgia’s AAAA classification.
