This weekend kicks off a busy weekend of official visits for Auburn football, and defensive coordinator DJ Durkin is working to make a great impression on one key in-state target.
Durkin paid a visit to Parker High School in Birmingham this week to see the state’s No. 4 recruit, Vodney Cleveland, ahead of his scheduled official visit to the Plains beginning Friday.
Cleveland, a four-star defensive lineman, is at the top of Auburn’s recruiting hot board as one of Alabama’s top recruits from the 2026 cycle.

Ronald Acuna Jr. created some drama earlier this season with a public social media post complaining about his own team.
In April, fellow Atlanta Braves outfielder Jarred Kelenic ran slowly out of the box on a ball he thought would be a home run, eventually getting himself thrown out at second base because of the poor effort. Manager Brian Snitker after the game was dismissive of media suggesting he should discipline or speak to Kelenic, saying “Was I supposed to?” in reference to talking to him.

The Citi Field staff is likely re-thinking its in-stadium graphics after a display celebrating New York Mets pitcher Kodai Senga went horribly wrong.
Senga is known for his signature pitch, the Ghost Fork. So, every time Senga struck out someone with the pitch, the Mets put up a cut little graphic of a ghost holding a fork. If he gets a batter out with any other pitch, they use the standard “K” for strikeout.
