While this is more of an orientation weekend focused more on acclimating the young players to life in the NFL, some veterans can attend on a try-out basis.

Ollie Watkins showed his class with a landmark goal that kept Aston Villa very much in the hunt for a Champions League place – and damaged Bournemouth’s European dream.
The England man, often overlooked for a starting place this season, scored the winner with the deftest of flicks just before half-time to lift Unai Emery’s team up to sixth, two points off third-placed Manchester City.

The Tennessee Titans are finishing up their rookie minicamp, marking the first chance to see this class in action on the field.
Unfortunately, two of their draft choices couldn’t participate in the on-field activities and were limited to individual workouts due to injuries. After the session, head coach Brian Callahan acknowledged the incident and gave a brief injury update.

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Desmond Watson’s goal is to make people forget about his size and view him for his unique big-man talent.
It’s hard to ignore the heaviest player in NFL history.
Watson’s journey to make the Tampa Bay Buccaneers began this weekend at the team’s rookie camp. He already has dropped between 25-30 pounds since weighing 464 pounds at the league’s scouting combine and he plans to lose more.
“It’s a good story, but I don’t want that to be my narrative,” Watson said Saturday. “I want to be known as a football player and a good football player at that.

Kentucky Derby-winning jockey Junior Alvarado got nearly a week to celebrate a big win, riding Sovereignty to victory at Churchill Downs, but on Friday, he was ordered to empty his pockets and sit out two days of racing.
The reason? He used his riding crop — the stick-like device jockeys use to hit the horse on the rear to encourage it to go faster — two more times than allowed.

According to the Louisville Courier Journal, Alvarado used his riding crop eight times during the one-and-a-quarter-mile race.

Ole Miss students graduating on Saturday are likely to spend their afternoons digging through couch cushions and that awkward space between the driver’s seat and middle console of their cars.
