The highest-ranked team in the NET rankings out of the Big South conference is High Point University, checking in at No. 86 overall with their 26-5 record. Ken Pomeroy’s rankings have High Point at No. 88.
The next team in the conference? That would be Radford. Their 17-12 record has Radford ranked 164 in the NET, and 156 in Pomeroy’s set of rankings.
For those wondering, the Highlanders are the No. 4 seed in the Big Conference tournament.

Wednesday was a busy day in the NFL, particularly on the wide receiver market. The Seattle Seahawks are facing the biggest changes since they released Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf requested a trade.
Elsewhere, the Jacksonville Jaguars parted ways with Christian Kirk.
After 10 seasons in Seattle, the team officially let Lockett walk, ending a successful partnership. Lockett produced 8,594 yards, including four straight 1,000-yard seasons from 2019-22.
Despite his age (Lockett turns 33 in September), the veteran still figures to have several teams vying for his services.
Overall, Judkins has the size, explosive play ability and hands of a strong three-down running back who can take the majority of touches in a backfield.
Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin is closing in on the NHL’s all-time goal-scoring record and now needs just 12 goals to pass Wayne Gretzky’s mark of 894.
What’s cool though, is that with all the attention on Ovechkin as he looks to pot another 11 goals in the Capitals‘ remaining 21 games this season, the Great 8 is giving back.
On Wednesday, Pvechkin announced that Ovechkin is partnering with the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Hockey Fights Cancer to launch an initiative called “The GR8 CHASE for Victory over Cancer.

Bob Nightengale at USA Today spoke to Turner, who signed with the Chicago Cubs in the offseason, about why Seattle once again missed the postseason. And Turner went off, criticizing the team’s ownership and lack of interest in building the best possible team.
