Jalen Hurts shook the culture up when the Eagles quarterback caused a debate online after appearing at a post-game press conference wearing a diamond Cuban-link chain with a blinding pendant.
Following a 27-13 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Hurts asked the media if “that’s what you guys wanted to see. ” Social media was ablaze with discussions about athletes’ money compared to rappers’ money.
Fast-forward to Round 1 of the NFL draft, and former Alabama offensive guard Tyler Booker noticed Hurts’ chain as well.

The 2025 NFL Draft kicks off from Green Bay, Wisconsin, in a matter of hours. Thirty-two players will be selected to the highest level of football in Round 1 of the three-day event.
There are two players widely considered the best the class has to offer: Heisman Trophy-winning Colorado wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter and Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter.
Hunter is in Green Bay for the draft and had a final statement for teams considering whether or not to pick him at the top of Round 1.

On Thursday morning, I reported an item in a column about Jalen Ramsey and the Miami Dolphins. I wrote that the Dolphins asked Ramsey to take a pay cut, and because he refused, the sides agreed to go their separate ways in what could lead to a trade.
Not correct.
I have since been in contact with another source who is more intimately familiar with the situation and has a different story.

The Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans executed a minor trade ahead of the 2025 NFL draft.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the Texans sent the 166th overall pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick to the Browns. In exchange, the Browns traded their 179th, 216th, and 255th overall selections in the 2025 draft. This now reduces the number of picks the Browns have in this year’s class to eight from 10.
This move allows the Browns to move up 13 spots, perhaps to dip into the day three running back sweet spot in a historically deep class.
