The decision to ultimately commit to the West Virginia football program came down to both relationships and fit for Springfield (Oh.) 2026 athlete Taj Powell.
Powell, 6-foot-3, 210-pounds, had held an offer from the Mountaineers since late January and since that point developed a strong connection with nickels/sams coach Henry Weinreich as well as defensive coordinator Zac Alley along with many other members of the coaching staff.
“I have a great connection with all the coaches even on the offensive side and they make me feel like a top priority,” Powell said.

One Major League Baseball Hall of Famer is looking for a different kind of perfect shot at the 2025 Masters golf tournament.
Fans took notice on Thursday, April 10 when they spotted retired baseball star Ken Griffey Jr. among a group of photographers working at the famed golf tournament, taking in the serene setting at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga.

The Chicago Bears continued their offseason additions with the signings of veteran wide receiver Miles Boykin and cornerback Shaun Wade to one-year deals. The names don’t jump off the paper, nor should they expected to have a big impact in their upcoming year with the team, but they do provide depth and their own respective talent to Chicago.
Wade, a veteran cornerback who has been in the league since 2021, comes to the Bears as another member of the secondary led by Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon.

Garrett Bradbury had a wild couple of weeks to start the new league year for himself and his family.
