Josh Giddey’s halfcourt shot to stun the Lakers is one of the best buzzer-beaters you will see this season.
The Chicago Bulls are quietly turning into the one of the hottest teams in the Eastern Conference. The Bulls entered Thursday night’s matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers at 8-2 over their last 10 games, spurred on by recent hot streaks from Coby White and Josh Giddey. The Bulls dropped 146 points in a win over the Lakers just last weekend. The rematch proved to be even more memorable.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 37 points and Oklahoma City defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 125-104 on Thursday night as the Thunder won their eighth straight and team-record 61st game of the season.
All-Star guard Jalen Williams scored 20 points in his return for the Thunder after missing seven games with a hip injury. SAN FRANCISCO — Florida finally looked like a No. 1 seed — for a half, at least.
It was more than enough to move past Maryland, 87-71, in the Sweet 16 Thursday at the Chase Center. To get back to the Final Four, the Gators will need play their best basketball for a longer stretch Saturday.

It was the Erie Otters, and not the Saginaw Spirit, who largely played Thursday like they were the Memorial Cup’s reigning champions.
The Otters, with one of the most productive 20 minutes in the Ontario Hockey League’s postseason history, claimed the opening game of the teams’ Western Conference first round series with an 8-5 road victory at the Dow Event Center.
Erie started the scoring with five goals in an exact five-minute span of the second period. Not done there, the visitors added three more for an unplayofflike 8-2 advantage by the second intermission.

With all due respect to college basketball, no game had more madness Thursday than the Los Angeles Lakers’ game against the Chicago Bulls.
The Lakers lost to the 33-40 Bulls despite holding a 115-110 lead with 10 seconds to go. What followed was a preposterous sequence of events, culminating in a halfcourt buzzer-beater from Josh Giddey.
