Champions League quarter-final exit for City
Manchester City’s 2024/25 UEFA Women’s Champions League journey is over at the quarter-final stage after a 3-2 aggregate defeat to Chelsea.
First half goals from Sandy Baltimore, Nathalie Bjorn and Mayra Ramirez cancelled out City’s 2-0 first leg win at the Joie Stadium in the fourth and final game against Sonia Bompastor’s side in the space of 12 days.
Despite City battling until the very end at Stamford Bridge, Nick Cushing’s side couldn’t find the crucial goal which would’ve forced extra time.

Ever since suffering a serious injury in a skiing accident in 2013, seven-time Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher has not been seen in public, and his family has offered very few updates on his condition, if any.
It’s believed that only a select few people have been permitted to see Schumacher and most of them haven’t offered too many details as to how the legendary driver is doing.
According to the Daily Mail, one of those people is German journalist Felix Gorner, who works for German broadcaster RTL.

The Michigan State head coach has 16 Elite Eights, eight Final Fours and a Natty to his name. So as Izzo prepares his No. 2-seeded Spartans to square up against the Ole Miss Rebels in the Sweet 16 on Friday night, it’s just business as usual for him.
“Once you win a national championship, winning a tournament game means nothing,” he said. “It doesn’t turn me on”.

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith keeps proving he’s a pro at looking ridiculous whenever he tries.
The 57-year-old First Take talking head went on a rant Thursday morning, continuing his beef with Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.
Amid his response, Smith invoked the name of Kobe Bryant to get a dig at LeBron, though the insult was a bald-faced lie.

The NBA is looking into launching a European league with Fiba, the world governing body.
The initial plan is for a 16-team league, with 12 permanent teams and four who would have to qualify each year.
The NBA said: “Under the plan being explored, the new league would be integrated into the current European basketball landscape, with teams also participating in their respective national leagues.
