Would Bill Belichick leave UNC for the NFL?
Over 20 years ago Bill Belichick walked to a podium, announced his resignation as the head coach of the New York Jets hours after taking the job โ€” an announcement he scribbled on a napkin ahead of the conference โ€” and left to take the same position with the New England Patriots.
Could something like that happen again with the legendary head coach?
Belichick was recently introduced as the next head coach at the University of North Carolina.

Tony Dungy is a patient man. He waited 16 years to become an NFL head coach. It took him 27 years before one of his teams won the Super Bowl. So, obviously, the Pro Football Hall of Famer believes in endurance and patience.
That makes him no fan of what New England Patriots and Las Vegas Raiders did this week in firing their head coaches after one season. Both teams fired their head coaches โ€“ Jerod Mayo and Antonio Pierce respectively โ€“ after one full season.

The Toronto Maple Leafs visited the City of Brotherly Love on Tuesday night for the back end of a two-game home-and-home series against the Flyers, and a couple of Leafs fans found themselves on the receiving end of some punches courtesy of one insane Philly fan.
The Flyers kept this one tight, but Leafs forward Matthew Knies scored the game-winner a little past midway through the third period to give the Leafs a 3-2 victory.
