An incident at Sugarloaf Mountain has led to the death of a snowboarder.
The rider died after an incident around 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025. Spokesperson Jessica Sechler confirmed the news to the Portland Press Herald.“Out of respect for the privacy of the guest’s friends and family, we don’t have any further information to share at this time,” the spokesperson said. “Our deepest condolences are with their family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
The local ABC affiliate has reported that the rider has been identified as Kendall Willard, of Kingfield, Maine.
