The response from fans of Major League Baseball to this year’s offseason has been absurd, to say the least.
Teams in big markets, like the Houston Astros, Boston Red Sox or Miami Marlins, have done little to nothing. In some cases, like Houston, they’ve traded important players like closer Ryan Pressly simply to clear salary. The Marlins, despite playing in one of the largest markets in the country, have spent literally zero dollars in free agency.

There will be a few new faces on the Formula 1 grid in 2025, but I think it’s safe to say none are as highly anticipated as Mercedes’ Andrea Kimi Antonelli.
Obviously, having to replace one of the best to ever do it in Lewis Hamilton is going to come with a lot of pressure, but at just 18, Mercedes seem pretty sure that he’s up for the challenge.

The National Football League has a serious problem.
Well, mathematically, it doesn’t. The ever-increasing sports betting industry has propped up ratings in recent years. Having just 17 games per season ensures that the overwhelming majority of tickets will be sold each season. Though attendance did drop by 160,000 tickets from 2023 to 2024. And in a market desperate for big ratings and high-dollar advertising prices, any package of NFL games will command immense interest.

Senior Bowl Day 1 observations, where the linemen are the biggest stars
The Senior Bowl is a pivotal stop on the road to the 2025 NFL Draft, and beginning on Monday, the NFL world descended on Mobile, Alabama to do some evaluation of the next generation of NFL talent.
I’m in Mobile as well, and am going to be giving out observations from each day of the 2025 Senior Bowl, filled with guys who stood out. Tuesday was the first day of practice, and, as expected, there were a lot of hiccups.
