On Saturday, the incredibly tragic news came down that Grayson Murray, a two-time PGA Tour winner who captured the Sony Open title earlier this year, had died at the age of 30.
Murray had dealt with issues around depression, anxiety and addiction throughout his adult life. According to a statement from his parents, Murray committed suicide some time after withdrawing from the Charles Schwab Challenge during Friday’s second round.
