Another day, another significant story in professional golf that has nothing to do with the actual playing of the sport. Jimmy Dunne, who was one of the key pieces in the PGA Tour – Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF) framework agreement, has officially resigned from the Tour’s policy board.
Dunne’s resignation comes 11 months after PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan shocked the sports world on June 6 when he sat next to Saudi PIF Governor Yasir-Al Rumayyan to announce the framework agreement between the two sides.

Dan Quinn and his T-shirt, with dual feathers dangling prominently from the W, have definitely gotten a lot of coverage. 
The Washington Commanders coach wore the T-shirt to his press conference on Saturday and reporters immediately reached for their phone cameras to get snapshots.
So what do we have here? 
Well, I bet about 50% of the country would deem this to be a controversial and even offensive choice of wardrobe because the feathers come from the team’s old logo and remind them of the old, offensive nickname. And, oh yeah, this is what they call cultural appropriation.

Transgender golfer Hailey Davidson, who was banned from a professional women’s tour earlier this year, came within one spot of qualifying for the U.S. Women’s Open. The biological male could still get into the major championship field, however, after earning the first alternate spot in the qualifier in Florida.
Davidson posted scores of 70-73 in the 36-hole qualifier at Bradenton Country Club. The top two players in the 58-player field earned automatic spots into the U.S. Women’s Open.

Brady begins his first season as an analyst for FOX Sports this fall and the former quarterback — and recent Netflix roastee — now knows where he will be for Week 1. Brady will be on the call for the network as the Cleveland Browns host the Dallas Cowboys to kick off their regular-season schedule.
