Among the chaotic news revolving around Scottie Scheffler on Friday morning, former PGA Championship winner John Daly withdrew from the tournament.
The PGA of America, which organizes this event, announced in a statement that Daly pulled out because of a thumb injury.

Shortly before the start of the second round of the PGA Championship, the #1 golfer in the world, Scottie Scheffler, was arrested by police.
Unfortunately, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a shuttle bus in the early hours Friday morning, which is what caused the unusual traffic patterns and created the situation that eventually led to Scheffler’s arrest.
Police charged Scheffler with a felony, second degree assault of a police officer, along with three other charges.
