Englishman Justin Rose capped his excellent second round at The Open with a long-birdie make on the 18th hole.
Englishman Justin Rose is in the mix at Royal Troon as he eyes his second major title.
Rose, the 2013 U.S. Open champion, carded a 3-under 68—tied for the lowest round of the day—to climb up the leaderboard to 5-under par for the championship.

DALLAS – The Southeastern Conference old guard tried to keep rookie members Texas and Oklahoma down a tad during the SEC Media Days this week in the heart of what used to be the Southwest Conference, then the Big 12.
It didn’t work completely.
Media covering the four-day event voted SEC charter member Georgia to win the SEC regular season crown with 165 votes to finish No. 1, while Texas had just 27 for second. Georgia finished in overall voting points with 3,330 to 3,041 by Texas.
