The impossible happened on Friday at the U.S. Senior Open as Frank Bensel Jr. made back-to-back aces at Newport Country Club.
The U.S. Senior Open is at Newport Country Club, and something truly historic happened during the second round on Friday morning. It is such a rare accomplishment to record a hole-in-one, much less two in a round.
For Frank Bensel Jr., though, he made back-to-back holes-in-one during the second round of the U.S. Senior Open.

There’s a lot of football to be played until Black Monday, but a handful of coaches have toasty seats before training camp even starts.
The 2024 NFL season is nearly upon us, and it’s shaping up to be an exciting one. While we’re all looking ahead to how our teams will look and hopefully improve this year, it’s important to remember one of the constants of the NFL: While some teams will get better, others will regress. I know all eyes are on that trainwreck of a debate from last night, and rightfully so. Yikes. BUT, for those of you searching for an alternate route to travel today, let me introduce you to the wildest set of NBA Draft allegations this side of the Mississippi.
Strap in.
For those who missed it – and that’s all of you, because who watched the NBA Draft? – Duke star Kyle Filipowski mysteriously slid (that’s relative in the NBA Draft) to the second round of the draft.
The Saints hovered around .500 last season and that could happen again after an uninspiring offseason.
