Add a new linebacker to the Houston Texans’ defense for 2025.
According to reports, the Texans and former Indianapolis Colts E.J. Speed have agreed to terms on a one-year deal worth $5 million. He’ll have a chance to continue to prosper as a breakout season for Houston’s top foe.
Speed put together his best season in his second year as a full-time starter. The 29-year-old finished with 142 tackles, seven tackles for losses and five pass deflections. His 93 solo stops were tied for third-most among all defensive players.

With back-to-back games of at least 30 points and 10 or more rebounds, UCLA center Lauren Betts certainly appears unstoppable. But, LSU has thwarted the Bruins before — in the Sweet 16 of last years women’s NCAA Tournament.
They’ll get a rematch on Sunday, this time in the Elite Eight.
UCLA (33-2), the overall No. 1 seed, advanced with a 76-62 victory over Mississippi on Friday night, the Bruins’ first trip to the regional finals since 2018.
Betts scored 31 points on efficient 15-of-16 shooting and added 10 rebounds and three blocks.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.,- Opposing teams can do all they can, but Hailey Van Lith could be the most unstoppable force in college basketball. Her shot-creating ability and tenacious defense led the Horned Frogs into the Elite 8 with a 72-61 win over Notre Dame on Saturday. She finished with an eye-watering stat line of 29 points, nine rebounds and four assists.
Head coach Mark Campbell marveled at the performance from Van Lith that pushed his squad over the top, lauding her tenacity with a salute.
“Ms. March,” Campbell said, “is deserved and earned. She gets that title and she can own it.
