The Warriors are signing veteran forward Dario Šarić to a one-year deal for the 2023–24 season, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Šarić has been in the NBA since 2016, playing for four different teams in that span. He began his career in Philadelphia but was traded to Minnesota in his third season as part of the Jimmy Butler deal in ’19. Šarić was then traded to the Suns that offseason, where he spent parts of four years, but was traded again to the Thunder before the trade deadline last year.

Jon Jones will defend his UFC heavyweight title at UFC 295 on Nov. 11, facing former champion Stipe Miocic at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Jones made his return to the octagon after a three-year absence on March 4, winning the heavyweight title for the first time by submitting Ciryl Gane. The victory moved his all-time record up to 27–1, with the one loss being a disqualification against Matt Hamill back in 2009. He previously held the light heavyweight title, successfully defending it in a record 11 fights. 
Miocic (20–4) will make his own return after a lengthy layoff.

The former NFL player, who had his share of troubles both legally and with the league, proved that he can still compete with the best of them after running a 40-yard dash in just 4.5 seconds.
So what you say?
Well, throughout its 13-year-career, the average player at the NFL Combine has ran the 40-yard dash in 4.48 seconds. Jones is right there. Oh, and he’s about to turn FORTY.

The Cubs made some franchise history Friday night
The Chicago Cubs first played professional baseball in 1876, debuting as the Chicago White Stockings in the National League.
That covers nearly 22,000 games and four different team names. After playing as the White Stockings for a few years, they became the Chicago Colts, and then the Chicago Orphans, before becoming the Cubs in 1903.
That is a long time. But they did something on Friday night they have never done before.
They beat the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium.

Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama had nearly 18,000 eyes on him inside of a sold out Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of UNLV on Friday night.
Wembanyama’s Spurs edged Brandon Miller and the Hornets 76–68 in the opening game of Las Vegas Summer League action, but the conversation after the game was dominated by the up-and-down performance of the Spurs rookie.
Wembanyama had a rough shooting night, finishing 2-for-13 from the field with nine points. He did have five blocks, eight rebounds and three assists though, as he found a way to impact the game despite his lack of scoring on Friday.

Steve Sarkisian is going out of his way to make sure Texas fans don’t have crazy expectations for Arch Manning.
The latest star QB in the Manning family enrolled early at Texas after an incredible career at Isidore Newman in Louisiana. Arch Manning left high school as the top recruit in the 2024 class.
Longhorns fans want to see him play, but it’s highly-unlikely that happens in the near future. Right now, he’s buried at three on the depth chart with future NFL QB Quinn Ewers locked in as the starter and redshirt freshman Maalik Murphy sitting in the QB2 spot.
