Has any team improved more than the Houston Texans over the last 12 months?
In his first season with the Houston Texans, DeMeco Ryans won as many games as the team had won in the previous three years combined. Even if it took Ryans three years to win 10 games, a playoff game, and the AFC South division title, Texans fans would have understood that patience was necessary after going 11-38-1 since 2020. But then Ryans accomplished all three of those things and he did it in his first year on the job.

An NFL coaching job is not a tenure-track position, as we learned this offseason. The New England Patriots gently shoved Bill Belichick out the door in an attempt to secure the Kraft Family’s slice of credit for the team’s dynasty.

Lamar Jackson threw two touchdown passes and ran for two scores, and the Ravens returned to the AFC title game with a 34-10 win over the Texans on Saturday.
Lamar Jackson was ready to go home.
The Baltimore Ravens showed the NFL exactly why they were deserving of the AFC’s top seed, sending a loud message to the league during Saturday’s divisional round victory over the Houston Texans by a score of 34—10.
Jackson put on an MVP-type performance, accounting for four total touchdowns in the blowout win. In the process, the Ravens quarterback called game—or in other words, declared the contest over—on the Texans in the best possible way.
We’ve seen less than three full weeks go by in 2024, and Kevin Durant already won the “Worst Idea of 2024” award.
The Phoenix Suns superstar had nothing better to do on this fine Saturday afternoon than think out loud on X. Usually, that’s not a good idea for most people, and Durant was no different.
He spent some time writing about something he’s quite familiar with: basketball. However, he simultaneously proved that he doesn’t know what’s good for the future of the sport at the collegiate level.
Durant suggested that college basketball should implement some big rule changes.

Baltimore has reached the AFC Championship Game for the fifth time in 28 seasons as a franchise.
The Baltimore Ravens punched a ticket to the AFC Championship Game on Saturday afternoon and did so in rather impressive fashion.
It may have seemed like things were going to be dramatic in the first half of the game, but Baltimore played like the team we saw for most of the season in the second half and took away any kind of doubt over and over and over again.
Baltimore will host an AFC title game for the first time since 1970 after Jackson and the defense dominated.
Jackson ran for two TDs and passed for two more and Baltimore’s dominant D delivered the knockout against Houston, earning a spot in the AFC title game.
And then there were seven.
The Baltimore Ravens moved onto the AFC championship game, beating the Houston Texans, 34–10 Saturday at M&T Stadium in Baltimore. With the victory, Lamar Jackson earned his second postseason win, and now stands at the doorstep of Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas.
In Saturday’s late window, the San Francisco 49ers will host the Green Bay Packers at Levi’s Stadium, with significant rain expected during the game. The 49ers are looking to advance to the NFC title game for the fourth time in five years.
