Last week was rough, I felt like we were mostly right on several games we ended up losing: Missouri should have covered against LSU, the under should have hit in Notre Dame-Louisville and Maryland was well within the number against Ohio State for almost the entire game until we lost that one late by a half point. As a result, we had a losing week going 7-9 to run our season record back squarely to .500 at 43-43.
The one positive though is that the blood banks have been cashing at a high rate and I’ve got two more blood banks for you this week.

Typically, the best rookie quarterback or receiver gets the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Over the past 15 years, it’s gone to a signal-caller or wideout on 11 occasions.
However, there might be a change to that pattern this year. The Dolphins took a chance on Texas A&M running back De’Von Achane in the third round, and he’s on pace to produce one of the greatest rookie seasons ever.
As for the defense, there are ample standouts, including Seahawks corner Devon Witherspoon, Lions safety Brian Branch and myriad others.
Wake up friends, the Falcons dropped a new Bijan Robinson mixtape
Technological advancements are moving sports coverage forward. Whether it is new cameras and camera angles, tracking data, microphones, or other bits of technology, fans are seeing and hearing more of their favorite sports every single game.
Teams are leaning into this as well, and the Atlanta Falcons are on that list. Earlier this season the Falcons shared an incredible overhead camera angle of an impressive run from rookie running back Bijan Robinson against the Green Bay Packers.

F1’s governing body will examine the brutal conditions drivers endured on Sunday
By all accounts, the drivers who raced in Sunday’s Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix endured some of the harshest conditions they have ever faced. Esteban Ocon admitted to vomiting twice during the race, Logan Sargeant retired early due to dehydration and needed medical attention after the race, as did teammate Alexander Albon. Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc described it as the hardest race he has ever experienced, and dared other drivers to disagree.
Michigan reportedly is gearing up to hand Jim Harbaugh a massive contract extension.
Harbaugh has won two straight Big Ten championships and has brought the Wolverines to two straight College Football Playoff appearances.
Currently, the Wolverines are 6-0 and ranked second in America. The school is getting ready to lock up Harbaugh with lots of cash.
John Bacon reported Monday that “two high-ranking UM officials” told him the plan is to make Harbaugh the highest-paid coach in the Big Ten “within the next month.
It’s not just that Bryce Young is struggling. He could still rebound. What Carolina gave up to draft him is the problem, especially with Caleb Williams looming in 2024’s class.
Free speech has been a casualty of political correctness. More people than ever are deemed “bigots” for holding a different perspective, and more than ever, the First Amendment is being questioned.
Nowhere in the nation is this pushback on free speech more apparent than on college campuses. OutKick’s Riley Gaines has been invited to various universities to share her message on women’s rights, often clashing with the school’s brain trust and student body for her conservative platform.
Following the Packers’ 17–13 loss against the Raiders on Monday night, cornerback Jaire Alexander shared some eye-opening comments regarding the current state of Green Bay’s offense.
Speaking to reporters after the Packers’ second straight loss, Alexander indicated that the defense would need to be at its best if the team wants to get back in the win column with an inexperienced offense.
“At this point it’s pretty obvious that the defense has to not give up any touchdowns. That’s part of being self-critical.
The Braves’ 8-5-3 double play to end Game 2 was the first of its kind in MLB postseason history. Atlanta came back from a four-run deficit to even the NLDS series with Philadelphia.
As NBA teams get into gear this preseason, Monday’s Lakers–Nets game featured an exciting shootout between two rising, young guards who already appear to be in midseason form.
Lakers guard Austin Reaves and Nets guard Cam Thomas put on a show for the fans in Brooklyn as L.A. led, 82–79, midway through the third quarter. A Thomas three-pointer would even the score, 82-82, which Reaves and the Lakers quickly responded to.
After bringing the ball up the floor, Reaves worked his way into a three of his own, only for Thomas to come down and drill another three.
