Nick Chubb is done for the season, but not forgotten by the Browns.
Ahead of Sunday’s game with the Titans, newly re-acquired running back Kareem Hunt honored his past/current teammate Nick Chubb. As Hunt made his way to the Browns locker room, he did so while wearing a Chubb t-shirt jersey.

As the remnants from Tropical Storm Ophelia work into the northeast, weather could be a factor in multiple NFL games this Sunday. Clashes between the Washington Commanders and the Buffalo Bills at FedEx Field, the tilt between the Baltimore Ravens and the Indianapolis Colts in Baltimore, and the AFC East battle between the New England Patriots and the New York Jets could all see wet conditions.
An early impact in that AFC East clash? The end zone.

Sometimes the metaphors just write themselves. Or in this case, they’re painted poorly.
NFL fans ripped the Jets on Sunday ahead of their matchup against the Patriots at MetLife Stadium once those in attendance noticed the team’s end zone was so poorly painted that white footprints could be seen, presumably from whoever painted the area. It’s worth noting that it’s raining at MetLife but paint footprints are certainly not a common occurrence in NFL end zones.
And that was before players started warming up.

Following a rocky start to the 2023 NFL season for quarterback Justin Fields, it appears the jury remains out on his longterm future with the Bears. A recent report that points to some debate internally over whether Fields can be the team’s franchise quarterback has grabbed plenty of attention.
And one bit may point to the team already preparing for the “what if” scenario of moving on, according to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports.

Lee Corso ruffled some feathers on ESPN’s College GameDay Saturday, and some of those feathers belonged to Ryan Leaf.
During the broadcast, Corso referred to the Washington State–Oregon State game as the “no one watches bowl,” since they are the two remaining teams in the Pac-12 without a new conference to call home.
And Leaf, who played quarterback for the Washington State Cougars, took that personally.
“And @CollegeGameDay is supposed to be a celebration of #CFB,” Leaf posted on X. “Instead, they choose to make it a big joke, and everyone on the panel enables it.

Thompson had been the talk of the Solheim Cup following her contentious presser Friday, but rebounded in a big way Sunday.
Lexi Thompson has had quite the tumultuous week at the 19th Solheim Cup in Andalucia, Spain.
Following a novice-looking shank on the 18th hole during Friday fourball, she was the object of ridicule online. That prompted a contentious press conference after her round, which caused Jessica Korda to come to her defense.

The human resources department of the Chicago Bears played a role in former defensive coordinator Alan Williams resigning from his position Wednesday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Williams was reportedly involved in some some ill-suited behavior.
“I’m told it was not criminal activity, but it was inappropriate, and the Bears’ HR department was involved in the decision for Alan Williams to step aside,” Schefter said on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown.

The Browns signed Kareem Hunt to a one-year contract on Wednesday after star running back Nick Chubb suffered a season-ending knee injury during last Monday night’s game vs. the Steelers.
Hunt played in Cleveland from 2019–22, but the team losing Chubb is what seemingly sealed the deal for the running back to return to the Browns.
Ahead of his 2023 season debut with the Browns, Hunt showed up to Sunday’s game vs. the Titans in a No. 24 Chubb jersey to support his teammate. The Browns posted a video of Hunt walking into Cleveland Browns Stadium with the caption “playing for 24.
