New Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is in the midst of a rough stretch at training camp but coach Josh McDaniels says he has “no concerns” regarding his quarterback’s play as of right now. Garoppolo has thrown a grand total of seven interceptions in just the last two practices alone.
“We’ve also seen some very good throws,” McDaniels said, according to The Athletic’s Vic Tafur. “It’s a very competitive camp.”
Granted it’s just practice, but all eyes are on Garoppolo as both he and Las Vegas have a lot to prove in 2023.

For 27 agonizing seconds, Alyssa Naeher thought she’d kept American dreams alive. And then, in an instant, by the tiniest of margins, the USWNT was gutted.
With the smoke clearing from the ransacking of the Pac-12 Conference, four different weekend conversations with college administrators came back to the same place: a mingled bewilderment and indignation at the status of Stanford and California. Can two elite academic institutions and all-sports titans, located in a populous and affluent area, really be kicked to the Power Five curb?
As of today, the answer is yes. We’ll see about tomorrow. Regardless, there are no convenient solutions for the two Bay Area universities.
Reds pitcher Lyon Richardson’s five-year journey through the minor leagues culminated on Sunday with his long-awaited MLB debut—though the game didn’t have the start he likely envisioned.
Facing the Nationals as he toed the rubber for the first time, Richardson received a true “welcome to the big leagues” moment from Washington shortstop CJ Abrams, who homered on the very first pitch of the game.
Comments by FSU president Richard McCullough caused concern for ACC power brokers and stakeholders.
Logan Paul barely had enough time to get from Michigan to Texas in time for his brother Jake’s boxing match against Nate Diaz on Saturday night. He made it, but wasn’t able to change clothes.
Logan, who re-signed with the WWE in April, stepped into the ring with Ricochet at SummerSlam in Detroit around 8:00 p.m. ET. The elder Paul brother was loudly booed as he walked out.

After the initial stretch of 2023 NFL free agency, as former Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott remained unsigned, fans began to ramp up the noise ever so slightly. Many wanted the team to re-sign Elliott to reunite the “thunder and lightning” duo of their former first-round pick and explosive young runner Tony Pollard.
But over time, the buzz faded and training camp got underway.
Dallas is tweaking its scheme and going to great lengths to make sure Dak Prescott’s NFL-worst 15 interceptions last season were an aberration.
What in the world does the U.S. Women’s National Team losing at the Women’s World Cup have to do with socialism? Lucky for you, I’m going to explain! The USWNT fought in court for “equal pay” between its members and the USMNT from U.S. Soccer.
As I’ve written in the past, though, the lawsuit had little to do with “equal pay” and more to do with “we want more money.”
As part of the deal, though, the USWNT and the USMNT must now split prize money. When the USMNT reached the knockout stage of the World Cup in November, it earned $13 million. Half of that — or $6.
