I woke up on Sunday morning looking forward to a full day of watching the final round of the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Rickie Fowler, one of my favorite professional golfers, entered the day with the lead. I recommended people bet him on OutKick’s golf betting podcast. Collin Morikawa, another PGA Tour star, sat just a few shots back of Fowler.
But imagine my surprise when I got up and saw an alert in the PGA Tour app. The round was already underway.
Not only that, it wasn’t on TV. Anywhere.

As Deion Sanders recovers from surgery to remove blood clots from both of his legs, the first-year head coach of Colorado is getting his first taste of college football’s “talking season.” It is the time of the year where the recruiting dead period is in place, and the new semester is still a few weeks away.
Coaches are on vacation. Players are back home. There is nothing going on.
To fill the void between summer workouts and fall camp, coaches and players get to talking.
Carlos Rodón is lined up to make his season and Yankees debut Friday against the Cubs, after completing his third rehab start on Saturday, manager Aaron Boone told reporters.
Rodón signed a six-year, $162 million contract with New York in the offseason, but he has yet to appear in a game this season due to injuries. Rodón first endured a forearm strain in spring training. Then he dealt with back issues that delayed his recovery.
The left-hander finally got into rehab games last month, and he appeared in three games to prepare for his Yankees debut.
As Texas football looks ahead to 2023, the Longhorns have one of the most talented quarterback rooms in the country. Talent aside, they have one of the most jacked rooms in the country.
Entering fall camp, Steve Sarkisian has six quarterbacks on his roster:
Redshirt sophomore Quinn Ewers
Former five-star, No. 1 overall recruit in the Class of 2021
Redshirt freshman Maalik Murphy
Former four-star recruit in the Class of 2022
Texas ponied up significant NIL money to keep him in Austin
Freshman Arch Manning
Former five-star, No.
Austin Herro, the younger brother of Heat shooting guard Tyler Herro, announced his commitment to South Carolina on Sunday with a post on Instagram of him wearing a No. 1 Gamecocks jersey.
“Write your own story,” he said on Instagram.
Herro recently graduated and will head to Columbia shortly to start his collegiate career. He played four years for Whitnall High School in suburban Milwaukee and averaged 14.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists as a 6’3” senior. The combo guard also had an offer from Cal Poly but is electing to try his luck in the SEC.
Former Hawai’i head coach June Jones was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Honolulu on Friday night, according to Stephen Tsai of the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. Jones was released after posting a $500 bail.
“I was speeding, and got stopped,” Jones said, via Tsai. “I was coming from eating dinner. That’s all I need to say right now.”
Jones, 70, played four seasons as a quarterback in the NFL and one in the CFL before entering coaching.
Omillio Agard set the new standard for commitments when he announced he’ll be taking his talents to the Wisconsin Badgers.
The four star 2024 CB from St. Joseph’s Prep School in Philadelphia entered his Saturday commitment ceremony with offers from Clemson, Alabama, Cincy, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Miami and several other traditional powers.
For brief moment, he grabbed a Clemson hat and it appeared Agard would be headed to play for Dabo Swinney and the Tigers.
Despite Damian Lillard’s reported desire to play for the Heat, it’s far from certain that Miami will be his trade destination. While appearing on SportsCenter this weekend, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Trail Blazers are willing to send their franchise star to any NBA team. Miami has no advantage because Lillard does not have a no-trade clause.
When contacted by other teams, Portland made it clear it’s willing to send him to any team and is only concerned about getting the best deal possible.
Shelby Houlihan had not run a public race since 2021 until Saturday afternoon. The 30-year-old middle-distance runner returned to the spotlight for an event that most wouldn’t have expected and she set a world record in the process.
Houlihan, a former Arizona State Sun Devil, turned pro in 2015 after winning the 1500-meter at the 2014 NCAA Championships. She is a 12-time U.S. National Champion with five outdoor titles and seven indoor titles, and represented her country at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
