After taking control of last weekend’s game against the Dallas Cowboys early, the Green Bay Packers tried to do the same on Saturday evening as they tried to take down the San Francisco 49ers. Unfortunately for the cheesehead faithful, quarterback Jordan Love was just inches short on a fourth-down Tush Push—at least, based on the call on the field.
The Packers went up 3–0 on a lengthy game-opening drive resulting in an Anders Carlson field goal. After forcing a punt on the 49ers’ first drive, Green Bay went 68 yards down the field, to San Francisco’s 14-yard line.

Lamar Jackson had not played for 20 days. He wasn’t resting because, obviously, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback was practicing and preparing for the playoffs with his team.
But the rest that began after his last game on Dec. 31 gave some people pause because the Ravens have tried to balance rest versus rust since the last time they were the No. 1 seed in AFC back in 2019.
And that experience was a disaster.
But this just in: The Ravens aren’t rusty this year.

If you want a textbook example of the Harbaugh family strain of football, look no further than the Baltimore Ravens‘ 34-10 win over the Houston Texans in the AFC divisional round Saturday afternoon.
The Ravens dominated the Texans by doing what they do best: running all over Houston (by a yardage margin of 229-38), getting a monster performance by quarterback Lamar Jackson, and controlling the line of scrimmage.
Securing Baltimore’s first trip to the AFC championship since 2012, it was the kind of performance that could make coach John Harbaugh break into a happy dance.

The Baltimore Ravens showed the NFL exactly why they were deserving of the AFC’s top seed, sending a loud message to the league during Saturday’s divisional round victory over the Houston Texans by a score of 34—10.
Jackson put on an MVP-type performance, accounting for four total touchdowns in the blowout win. In the process, the Ravens quarterback called game—or in other words, declared the contest over—on the Texans in the best possible way.
We’ve seen less than three full weeks go by in 2024, and Kevin Durant already won the “Worst Idea of 2024” award.
