After a year-and-a-half with the 76ers, James Harden appears ready to move on from Philadelphia as he requested a trade while opting into his player option ahead of free agency. As the Sixers assess the trade market, the Clippers have emerged as the favorite for the point guard, and the feelings between Los Angeles and Harden are reportedly mutual.
According to The Athletic’s Sam Amick, Harden is interested in playing for the Clippers, and there is “strong optimism” from his camp that a deal will get done.

Colin Kaepernick’s pursuit of an NFL comeback has surely featured some interesting and, at times, confusing, conversations and feedback from teams. But a workout with the Raiders in 2022 was the first for the former 49ers signal-caller in almost six years.

Maybe there is hope for the boiling cesspool that college athletics is becoming because of the toxic pollutant known as Name, Image & Likeness that started in 2021.
It may be a shot in dark waters, but at least the NCAA is trying under new president Charlie Baker, the former governor of Massachusetts who took over on March 1.
NCAA regulatory affairs director Stan Wilcox sent a memo to all NCAA member schools on Tuesday that Sports Illustrated and other media outlets, including OutKick, later received.
The memo basically tells member institutions to cut all the NIL crap.

Two football players at the University of Buffalo have been charged with the alleged beating of a dog with a leather belt. The players involved, Zachary Pilarcek and Blake Hiligh, have been kicked off the team following the alleged incident that occurred on June 13.
Pilarcek and Hiligh were both charged with one count of overdriving, torturing, and injuring animals; failure to provide proper sustenance. If convicted, both would face a maximum sentence of one year in jail.

The Mets are a mess. Again. 
The latest proof of that came Thursday night when they lost at home again to the Milwaukee Brewers and fell to a season-worst nine games below .500. They’ve now lost 18 of their last 24 games and are sitting at 36-45 on the season, which is good for third place in the NL East.
The Mets have made a lot of headlines recently, and none of them have been for good reasons. Now we have another one of those moments thanks to Max Scherzer, who teamed up with his catcher, Francisco Alvarez, to botch a foul ball during Thursday night’s loss.
