The people of Albuquerque showed up to the Isotopes game hungry for hot dogs (NOT sandwiches) on Wednesday night. They did not disappoint.
Burqueños and Burqueñas averaged 2.7 hot dogs eaten per person over the course of nine innings, but that number actually detracts from the overall feat. It’s more impressive in total.
The Isotopes are the Triple-A affiliate for the Colorado Rockies of the Pacific Coast League. Their games are played at an elevation of 5,100 feet above sea level, and draw pretty sizable crowd for home games.
No crowd, though, is greater than $0.50 hot dog night.

Warriors star Draymond Green elected to decline his player option earlier this month to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, and ever since, speculation has run rampant regarding where he will play next season and beyond.
The expectation is that Green would re-sign with Golden State and continue to play for the only franchise he’s been with for his entire career. However, with the start of free agency approaching this weekend, rumors regarding Green and other prominent free agents have run rampant.

The reason for this is … something.
Derek Carr will forever have beef with the Raiders. The Saints quarterback talked to the Fresno Bee this week and explained his exit from Las Vegas and how he will never, ever forgive his former team for making his wife cry.
When asked if he would have returned to the Raiders if they asked him, Carr had a pretty blunt response.
“Once they made my wife cry, that was pretty much over,” he said. “Once they made her cry, that was out. But the love for my teammates is what probably would have made me do it.
It didn’t take long for Odell Beckham Jr. to showcase his ability to create highlight-reel one-handed grabs with the Ravens. Beckham, who joined Baltimore as a free agent this offseason, made a tough one-handed catch look easy, and everyone loved it.
But no one loved it more than Ravens wide receiver coach Keith Williams, who jumped up and down with joy. The back-and-forth after Williams emphatically stated, “oh, I like that type of stuff!” was hilarious in its own right.

“No, you do not!”
“Only from him.” 💀😂😂 pic.twitter.

If this feels reminiscent of Tony Hawk landing the 900 back in 1999, it’s because it is. Even cooler is that this happened at Tony Hawk’s Vert Alert in Utah. Even cooler is that it came just days before the anniversary of Hawk dropping the 900 at the X-Games.
