What a week …
It’s been a hell of a week for the Chicago Bears, and there’s seemingly no end in sight.
First the team lost to the Buccaneers in a game that led to widespread criticism of Justin Fields, then Fields threw his coaching staff under the bus. Joey Votto might just be the most interesting man in baseball. His latest endeavor should only reinforce that reputation. 
The Reds first baseman will provide the voice for the French narrator in a stage production of The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition. The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati’s production will run from Oct. 14-23 at Taft Theatre.
Cincinnati is currently battling for the National League’s third wild-card playoff spot, sitting a half game behind the Cubs and Marlins. If the Reds make it to the postseason, the wild-card round begins Oct. 3.

If Dwight Howard returns to the NBA this season, it will not be with the Warriors.
After a two-day visit with Golden State, the Warriors have opted against signing the free agent center, according to Shams Charania of Stadium.
“The Warriors are not expected to sign Dwight Howard or another veteran center ahead of training camp,” Charania said in a report on Friday. “Howard had a two-day visit with the Warriors this week that included meetings and workouts, but the Warriors are expected now to maintain flexibility to sign a potential big man later in camp or into the regular season.

This week, the A’s hosted the Detroit Tigers, including future Hall of Famer Miguel Cabrera. Miggy is retiring after this season, so during his farewell tour, teams across the league have showered the 12-time All-Star with gifts. It’s just a way of saying congratulations on a legendary career.
