The Clippers acquired P.J. Tucker alongside James Harden in their recent blockbuster trade with the 76ers, and it’s only taken him a few weeks to realize something problematic with his new team. One basketball isn’t enough for the number of playmakers and scorers Los Angeles has, and it’s safe to say most of the basketball world would agree.
Tucker didn’t just say that openly; he drove it home with a one-liner that may sum up this Clippers team better than any other fan, analyst or insider has managed to do yet.

Can we please stop being annoying about this?
So, as you know, Florida State was left out of the College Football Playoff. A disgrace? Yes. A travesty? Sure, depending on who you ask. Worthy of getting the STATE GOVERNMENT OF FLORIDA involved? Yeah, I’m not sure about that.
Well, that’s where we are. With 2024 being an election year, we’re seeing a lot of state representatives get involved in college sports and fighting the NCAA.

Who had this on their bingo card?
To say Monday Night Football was a disappointment for the Jaguars is an understatement. The team walked into the stadium in a position to take the No. 1 seed in the AFC — and went home licking their wounds after getting dunked on by JAKE BROWNING.
The Bengals backup quarterback was expected to be the reason Cincinnati would lose, but he want on to make legitimate NFL history.

Let’s break down this year’s Heisman race after the four finalists were announced.
We now know the four finalists for the 2023 Heisman Trophy award.
But which of these four college football standouts will hear their name called on Saturday night?
The four athletes heading to New York City are Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr., Oregon QB Bo Nix, Washington QB Michael Penix Jr., and LSU QB Jayden Daniels. There is a case to be made for — and against — each player.
Maybe Evan McPherson just didn’t want to get hurt again.
The Bengals kicker, who lifted his team to victory Monday night in a 34—31 overtime win over the Jaguars as his winning kick sailed through the uprights, had an unintentionally amusing moment during the contest.
McPherson missed a field goal attempt from 57 yards out in the first quarter but was given a chance to redeem himself in the fourth quarter with the game tied at 28 and under three minutes to go. The Bengals kicker’s 54-yard attempt had the distance this time but looked like it was going to sail wide right.
Good morning, I’m Dan Gartland. Say a prayer for anyone who’s a fan of both the Jaguars and Florida State.

Ominous clouds for Jaguars
Stop me if you’ve heard this before this season, but a star quarterback has gone down with a potentially serious injury.
The Jaguars’ Trevor Lawrence is the latest QB to get hurt—his lower leg was stepped on in the fourth quarter of last night’s game against the Bengals. (Watch the play here.
Farts: Still hilarious after all these years.
We don’t agree on much in this world, but if there’s one thing we can come together in unity for it’s laughing at farts. This was pushed to the gassy forefront on Monday night when Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy was being asked about his shutout win, only to have it interrupted with an airy expulsion.
Somebody let one rip during Vasilevskiy’s postgame interview

Tua Tagovailoa has enjoyed a strong season for the Dolphins, but the quarterback showed off a new side of himself on ESPN’s ManningCast on Monday night. Tagovailoa broke out his guitar and played a portion of the Eric Clapton classic “Tears in Heaven” while Peyton Manning sang play-by-play to the Bengals–Jaguars game in the background.
Fortunately for Tagovailoa’s fans, the fourth-year pro may not be done sharing his guitar skills with the public.
The Ohtani mystery heads to Canada.
Mystery surrounding Shohei Ohtani’s future intensified on Monday after the superstar met with the Toronto Blue Jays, in what’s believed to be the final stretch before he decides on a team.
The Jays have routinely been a team mentioned in the Ohtani sweepstakes, but there wasn’t much to it other than speculation. However, a new report from Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic solidifies that not only are the Jays pursuing Ohtani, but spent significant time with the free agent on Monday.
