College football fans were ready to watch the showdown between Florida and Utah on Thursday night, but were met with an unfortunate surprise from Disney and Charter communications.
The ESPN studio show had wrapped up and they were sending it out to Utah for the kickoff between the Gators and Utes. There was only one problem though, both Disney and Charter, which owns Spectrum, had not reached an agreement on broadcast rights.
As you can imagine, fans were livid, especially Florida fans, with Spectrum being one of the major broadcast companies for the state.

Florida quarterback Graham Mertz made his debut for the team on Thursday night vs. Utah, and fans first noticed what number he was wearing: No. 15.
Fans were generally not happy with the new Gator wearing this number since Florida legend Tim Tebow sported the number during his tenure with the team. People on social media seemed to think that no one else should wear this number on the Gators.

College football fans were eagerly awaiting Thursday’s season-opening clash between Florida and No. 14 Utah, which aired on ESPN. When it came time for kickoff, however, those watching on Spectrum were met with nothing but a black screen. 
After a while, a message appeared on screens from the cable service provider, indicating that Disney had removed its programming from Spectrum amid ongoing negotiations over carriage fees the cable company pays to Disney.

When Florida defensive end Princely Umanmielen arrived at Utah’s Rice-Eccles Stadium ahead of Thursday night’s game, he posted a picture of the stadium to his Instagram story.
But, Umanmielen trolled the stadium in his caption, calling it a “lil ah stadium.” He was poking fun at the smallness of the stadium in comparison to other stadiums the Gators play in.

FOX analyst Mark Schlereth discussed the Cowboys’ decision to trade for former 49ers first-round pick Trey Lance during a recent episode of his podcast, and the 57-year-old didn’t hold back when ripping into the organization.
Schlereth addressed Jones’ decision to bring Lance to Dallas without informing either head coach Mike McCarthy or starting quarterback Dak Prescott of what he was scheming, something that didn’t sit well with the NFL analyst.
