Tyrrell Hatton is one of the great characters of professional golf. While he’s a soft-spoken guy, he has an incredibly short fuse and isn’t afraid to show some frustration. We’re talking about someone who has flipped off a pond during a tournament, flipped off a hole at the Masters, and smashed a tee marker with his driver.
Hatton acting like he was going to chuck a flagstick into the trees at the BMW Championship on Friday is honestly one of the calmest things the Englishman has ever done on a golf course.

The odds would appear to be stacked against Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
On Monday, Rodgers tore his Achilles tendon during New York’s 22–16 overtime win over the Bills. The catastrophic injury seems likely to sideline Rodgers for the season, perhaps dealing a critical blow to the Jets’ goal of Super Bowl contention in 2023.
However, even at the age of 39, Rodgers remains steadfast in the belief that he will return to play for New York sooner rather than later—a sentiment he expressed to former Colts punter Pat McAfee on his eponymous ESPN show Friday afternoon.

After the Chiefs lost the season opener without two of their stars, Kansas City appears to be close to welcoming tight end Travis Kelce and defensive lineman Chris Jones back into the fold for Week 2.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid announced Friday that Kelce, who missed Week 1 with a knee injury, and Jones, fresh off ending a contract holdout, are expected to make their 2023 debuts on Sunday against the Jaguars (1–0) barring any setbacks.
“As long as nothing happens, they’ll be out there,” Reid told reporters, per Pete Sweeney of Arrowhead Pride.

What more can you say about umpire Ángel Hernández at this point? His name has become a punchline among baseball fans, thanks to his reputation for being the worst ump in the majors. But his performance in Thursday‘s game between the Pirates and Nationals was a low point, even for him.
Both teams were apparently eager to get the game over with—they’re both well out of playoff contention, so it’s tough to blame them. It took only one hour and 50 minutes to play and there was a grand total of one walk issued as players showed little patience at the plate.
Barry Sanders’ retirement is still mystifying to NFL fans.
Former Washington coach Jay Gruden joined Grant and Danny on Washington D.C.’s 106.7 FM “The Fan” radio station on Thursday to discuss former franchise quarterback Kirk Cousins ahead of his nighttime tilt with the Vikings against the Eagles.
Cousins, who enjoyed great success under Gruden in Washington, could have been traded to the 49ers in 2017, netting a significant return to the franchise.
