The Miami Marlins saw a freak injury in Wednesday’s loss to the St. Louis Cardinals.
In the third inning, a foul ball connected with Marlins third base coach Jody Reed’s right leg, leading to the coach limping off the field.
According to Marlins manager Skip Schumaker in a postgame interview, X-rays confirmed that Reed broke his leg due to the hit.

Wyndham Clark is the reigning US Open champion. With that comes expectations of greatness at this year’s Open Championship. And after a strong first round, Clark is in contention to contend at two consecutive major golf tournaments.

Snyder’s 24-year tenure was cloaked in controversy over the last several years stemming from an investigation into the organization over allegations of workplace misconduct. The findings of the investigation, led by former U.S. attorney Mary Jo White, were also released Thursday, along with the news of Snyder receiving a $60 million fine as a penalty.
